President Donald Trump lashed out at Maggie Haberman of The New York Times again on Friday over yet another instance of fake news that was published by her and her colleagues.<\/p>\n

The fake news story from the Times<\/a> on Thursday claimed the president intends to skip a 25th anniversary ceremony in honor of the Sept. 11 terror attacks on the World Trade Center because he won\u2019t be allowed to deliver a speech at the event.<\/p>\n

\u201cMr. Trump, a native New Yorker who talked often about the Sept. 11 attacks during his 2016 presidential campaign, is now expected to commemorate them at the Pentagon,\u201d Haberman reported, adding that Vice President JD Vance will take his place at the anniversary event in New York.<\/p>\n

NEW: Trump will not attend the annual commemoration in NYC for the 25th anniversary of 9\/11, in part because he wouldn\u2019t be allowed to give a speech. He intends to visit the Pentagon instead. The report from Haberman and crew infuriated the president, who took to his social media platform Truth Social to complain about it.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is more Corrupt News, I\u2019ve been to New York many times over the years, and no one ever speaks, it\u2019s a \u2018solemn ceremony!\u2019 I never even thought of what Maggot made up, and besides, I would love not to speak, because I\u2019m speaking all the time, and this is a day to remember the victims, and their beautiful family members,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Trump continued by bringing up his ongoing legal battle with the Times. The president filed a defamation suit against the paper in September of 2025, accusing several reporters of defaming him with actual malice.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaggot Hagerman is a PHONY, and The New York Times knows it! It will all be revealed in the lawsuit against them, and another lawsuit against the organization which gives out the now discredited Pulitzer Prize, because Maggie got one for her \u2018reporting\u2019 on THE RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA HOAX, which turned out to be a total CON JOB!\u201d the president wrote.<\/p>\n

Keep in mind the 2025 defamation suit didn\u2019t include Haberman.<\/p>\n

This latest incident comes four years after Trump first coined the nickname<\/a> \u201cMaggot\u201d for Haberman after she published a book about him called \u201cConfidence Man: The Making of Donald Trump and the Breaking of America.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHere we go again! Another Fake book is out, this one, supposedly very boring and stale, by self appointed head case, Failing (unfunded liability!) New York Times writer, Maggie Hagerman,\u201d he wrote on Truth Social at the time.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn it she tells many made up stories, with zero fact checking or confirmation by anyone who would know, like me. In one case she lies about me wanting to fire my daughter, Ivanka, and Jared. WRONG, pure fiction. Never even crossed my mind. Just have to fight trouble making creeps like Maggie, and all the rest!\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
