New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, considered by many to be a communist, is under fire for mourning the death of a ruthless murderer.<\/p>\n

The 39-year-old murderer, Clarence Woodward, was charged with stabbing two men inside a laundromat in the Bronx earlier this month with a meat cleaver after he was seen on surveillance footage committing the crimes.<\/p>\n

\u201cWoodward was spotted carrying shirts as he walked into the 303 Laundromat at 2:42 a.m. Thursday in the Claremont section,\u201d according to local station WABC<\/a>. \u201cOnce inside he stabbed two men and ran off southbound on College Avenue.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cA 47-year-old man was stabbed in the back. He was taken to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition. Another man was stabbed in the legs, torso, and back. He was pronounced dead at Lincoln Hospital,\u201d the reporting continued.<\/p>\n

The surviving victim, a homeless man, told the police he was sleeping inside the laundromat when the unprovoked attack occurred.<\/p>\n

The deceased victim was identified as Jose Miranda, 45. His grieving mother was mortified by his murder.<\/p>\n

\u201cGod has given me the strength but it is not easy,\u201d she said in a video message uploaded to Facebook, according to the New York Daily News<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Mamdani meanwhile never said or wrote a word \u2014 a single word \u2014 about Miranda. Yet after Woodward died from a medical emergency this Tuesday morning, the mayor suddenly had plenty to say.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am deeply saddened by the death of a New Yorker in City custody at a jail on Rikers Island early this morning,\u201d the mayor tweeted later that very same day. \u201cMy thoughts are with his family and loved ones as they grieve this loss. We do not yet know the cause of death, but we do know that too many New Yorkers have died on Rikers Island.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Department of Correction and its oversight partners will investigate the circumstances surrounding his death. Our administration is fully committed to the critical work of creating better conditions in our city\u2019s jail system and closing Rikers Island as quickly as possible,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Critics were utterly disgusted by the communist mayor\u2019s twisted and perverse priorities.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy? Why do this? Is it pathological?\u201d one critic asked<\/a>. \u201cWhy are you so concerned over a 30x wrap sheet individual and not the victims? You could have taken the angle that the system is designed to protect the innocent until proven guilty. Instead you all but fangurled the inmate.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe only shame of it is that this monster wasn\u2019t put to death in the town square for all to see,\u201d another critic wrote<\/a>. \u201cYou can not help but reveal what an absolute clown you are, day in and day out. It\u2019s an amazing thing to witness in real time. Generations down the road won\u2019t believe it\u2019s real.\u201d<\/p>\n

Miranda\u2019s mother was also disgusted by the tweet.\u00a0She told the New York Post<\/a> that the tweet was \u201ca slap in the face.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s terrible. That\u2019s not fair. That\u2019s not fair at all. I\u2019m not happy with what [Mamdani] did and I need him talking about my son. He was killed,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s not right,\u201d Miranda\u2019s younger brother added. \u201cHe could have paid his regards but acknowledged us too. He should have mentioned us first and then, \u2018Sorry the person that did it also has passed away too.\u2019 At least give us a little heads up and a little gratuity towards us. We lost a family member. You can never replace that. I\u2019m still going through it.\u201d<\/p>\n
