The owner of WNBA team Chicago Sky used a gun analogy to explain the knee-jerk ejection of NBA star Enes Kanter Freedom from a recent game.<\/p>\n

Freedom was wearing a shirt that defined what a woman is when Sky player Natasha Cloud was triggered and made a scene during a game against the Indiana Fever last week.<\/p>\n

Freedom has claimed that the altercation happened after he cheered for Fever guard and pro-women\u2019s sports champion Sophie Cunningham. Freedom claimed Cloud yelled at him, \u201cShe\u2019s not going to sleep with you,\u201d from the court and started cursing.<\/p>\n

Cloud appeared to be coming toward Freedom when he stood up, but security quickly removed Freedom from the arena.<\/p>\n

The Chicago Sky owner compared Enes Kanter Freedom taking one step forward from his courtside seat in his altercation with Natasha Cloud to shooting a gun at someone\u2026<\/p>\n

In an exclusive interview with Outkick, Chicago Sky owner Michael Alter said that Freedom became a \u201cthreat\u201d the moment he \u201ctook a step toward the court\u201d and was subsequently banned from Wintrust Arena.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had league security, we had arena security, we had Indiana Fever, Chicago Sky security, Chicago Police Department; all of them were there. All of them acted immediately. All of them, you know, it was the quickest decision I\u2019ve ever seen in someone being ejected from a game.\u201d<\/p>\n

When pressed on why Freedom wasn\u2019t given the standard warning before ejection, Alter dropped the gun analogy.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe wasn\u2019t given a warning because certain threats don\u2019t get warnings,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo use an extreme example, uh, when you, when you shoot a gun at someone, you don\u2019t get a warning, \u2018Don\u2019t do that again.\u2019 It, it\u2019s, you know, your action doesn\u2019t deserve a warning.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stepping on the court is grounds for immediate ejection according to WNBA rules, Outkick reported. But Freedom claims he never stepped on the court, and Alter admits he isn\u2019t sure either.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe security were there to stop him \u2026 The Indiana Fever guy was right there. He was right in front of him. The guy from the arena, Monterey, was right there. It took a second for Chicago\u2019s guys to go to get there, but they got there pretty damn fast,\u201d Alter said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t tell you what his intent was beyond his actions,\u201d he added. \u201cI don\u2019t know what was in his head, OK. Neither do you. And if he tells you what\u2019s his intent based on the other things he\u2019s told you, you have to know he is completely unreliable.\u201d<\/p>\n

Plenty of X users believe Freedom\u2019s shirt had something to do with the ejection:<\/p>\n
