Islamists have their own dark money operation, and with scores of candidates being prepared, Abdul El-Sayed and his ilk appear to be just the tip of the Hamas-sympathizing iceberg.<\/p>\n

Between the successful election of New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani (D) and the ongoing congressional campaigns of Adam Hamawy in New Jersey and El-Sayed in Michigan, Muslims have made big strides of late in American politics. With that has come a warranted rise in concerns over Sharia and suspected aims at subversion of the Constitution through funding linked back to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).<\/p>\n

A concern even before being named as unindicted co-conspirators in the 2007\u00a0USA v. Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development<\/em> criminal case, a report<\/a> from the Washington Free Beacon detailed that CAIR\u2019s lobbying arm, CAIR Action, has funded the Unity & Justice Fund super PAC supporting these races.<\/p>\n

According to the PAC\u2019s own communications, \u201cThe Unity & Justice Fund helped elect Zohran Mamdani, Dr. Adam Hamawy, and now Abdul El-Sayed. We\u2019re doing more than just securing electoral wins across the country; we\u2019re building a movement in Masjids (mosques) and communities across the country.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Free Beacon detailed that the language on Masjids was removed and mention of \u201cMuslim voters\u201d was swapped for \u201cMuslim and Middle Eastern voters,\u201d in a recent fundraising email after the PAC already donated $175,000 to El-Sayed, supporting Fighting for Michigan PAC along with over $40,000 to a consulting firm owned by Dearborn Mayor Abdullah Hammoud\u2019s (D) chief of staff, Zaineb Hussein, who previously worked for the Michigan Secretary of State.<\/p>\n

Now, the fundraising group tied back to CAIR, a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization in Florida and Texas,\u00a0aims to raise $1.5 million for the midterms.<\/p>\n

While CAIR actively distanced itself from the Unity & Justice Fund, the Free Beacon noted the reality remained that CAIR created CAIR Action, which in turn established the fund. It also remains that CAIR officials have donated to the fund as well as to the campaigns of the radical politicians.<\/p>\n

This includes El-Sayed\u2019s father-in-law, Tayeb Jukaku, who donated $100,000 in July. Jukaku serves as board director of Michigan\u2019s chapter of CAIR and is only one of the Senate wannabe\u2019s family members<\/a> with a concerning background.<\/p>\n

An effort to oppose the financial influence of CAIR was introduced earlier this year by Texas Rep. Chip Roy (R), dubbed the Designating Hamas Affiliates in America Act of 2026. The bill seeks to remove CAIR\u2019s tax-exempt status, block its assets, and prohibit Americans from interacting with the organization.<\/p>\n

In addition to the back already provided by CAIR Action, reporting<\/a> from RealClearInvestigations\u2019 Paul Sperry indicated that CAIR is actively preparing over 200 Muslims to run in elections across the nation at varying levels of government and that East Plano Islamic Center (EPIC City) imam Yasir Qadhi\u2019s Fiqh Council of North America issued a fatwah (legal ruling) allowing Muslims in America to count political donations toward the required tithing of zakat.<\/p>\n
