Faulting gender ideologues for loss of support, the nation\u2019s most well-known Republican-aligned homosexual advocacy group announced an official cut in the alphabet acronym.<\/p>\n

Of late, leftists have demonstrated their seeming willingness to welcome any radical into their tent until such time as those views become a problem at the polls. While they\u2019ve embraced and advanced the groomer mentality, pushing for childhood access to genital mutilation and chemical castration, the same can\u2019t be said across the aisle as the Log Cabin Republicans voted to sever LGB\u2019s ties with the T.<\/p>\n

Featured on Townhall.com, LCR President Ross Hemminger penned an op-ed<\/a> under the banner, \u201cLog Cabin Republicans Renews Its National Advocacy Focus,\u201d wherein he announced that after more than a decade of recognition, \u201cthe new era of gender identity politics is not the movement we supported and fought for.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIn 2015, the Log Cabin Republicans Board of Directors voted to add the \u2018T\u2019 under the umbrella of our mission \u2014 out of a belief that all adults should be allowed to pursue their own happiness, free of government interference, as long as it did not impede on the inalienable rights of others,\u201d he wrote, having emphasized the organization\u2019s founding principles of \u201climited government, individual liberty, and equality.\u201d Worth noting, that was the same year that the Supreme Court issued its landmark decision in Obergefell v. Hodges<\/em> on same-sex unions.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the time, we did not believe that we would find ourselves where we are today,\u201d continued Hemminger, who addressed the fixation on children that brought the world Drag Queen Story Hour and porn into school libraries. \u201cThe transgender movement has ceased focusing on adults at all \u2014 nearly all of their efforts and those of their aligned special interest groups focus on minors. They push schools to teach radical gender ideology; they want biological men in women\u2019s sports regardless of the consequences; perhaps most offensively, they support gender reassignment treatments for minors, often without the knowledge or consent of the parents, knowing full well these treatments are mostly irreversible.\u201d<\/p>\n

One of the nation\u2019s most prominent gay conservative groups is breaking with transgender advocacy, saying the movement has become too focused on controversial policies involving minors.<\/p>\n

Listing accomplishments for rainbow standard bearers like open service in the military and Obergefell<\/em> \u2014 on which Justice Clarence Thomas made the case to reconsider with the overturning of Roe v. Wade<\/em> \u2014 the op-ed presented gender ideologues as an albatross for the cause. \u201cThat is why,\u00a0after significant discussion with our membership, our Board of Directors voted to refine Log Cabin Republicans\u2019 national advocacy focus to concentrate specifically on issues of sexual orientation and conservative values \u2014 in other words, we are an LGB advocacy organization, as our founders envisioned and as our moral center calls us to be.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reactions were widely supportive of the move as a trend in the right direction, with many posting their own announcements that the T was all that was keeping them from being a member of LCR.<\/p>\n
