President Donald Trump proved this week that he\u2019s not one for holding grudges when circumstances change.<\/p>\n

The president participated in an unlikely interview with his former personal attorney and fixer Michael Cohen, who has his own show on 77 WABC Radio \u2014 the show is expected to air in its entirety on Sunday.<\/p>\n

\u201cHello, Michael,\u201d Trump said very cordially, to begin the exchange.<\/p>\n

Cohen was a key witness in the 2024 sham hush-money case brought against Trump, which resulted in a New York jury finding him guilty on 34 trumped-up felony counts of falsifying business records.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd then they weaponized you like nobody\u2019s ever been weaponized \u2014 like few have been,\u201d Trump said.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe just you and I, sir,\u201d Cohen said about being weaponized.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, me too, but I don\u2019t consider mine \u2014 you know, mine was at a level that nobody\u2019s ever seen before,\u201d the president responded. \u201cI respect the fact that you recanted everything that you said, and that\u2019s a big thing that you did.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cohen had his own legal problems, being sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to campaign finance violations, tax evasion, bank fraud, and lying to Congress \u2014 he spent more than a year behind bars.<\/p>\n

He has seemingly turned over a new leaf when it comes to his former boss, with Cohen making efforts to reconcile with Trump. A door that was opened by Trump, Cohen said last month on WABC\u2019s \u201cCats & Cosby\u201d radio talk show.<\/p>\n

\u201cOut of nowhere, when I was sitting with my wife at a restaurant, my phone buzzed and it was a text from that friend who expressed to me the president\u2019s genuine empathy for the hell that I was being dragged through \u2026 I deeply appreciated that text,\u201d Cohen said. \u201cI actually texted the president. I thanked him. Expressed my sincere hope that this long, exhausting feud between the two of us could finally end.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump replied \u201calmost immediately,\u201d according to Cohen, who said the president suggested that it was \u201cactually time for us to meet.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cohen\u2019s interview with Trump includes discussions about polls, the economy, the Southern border and the military operations in Venezuela and Iran, according to The Hill.<\/p>\n

\u201cLook, there would be no Israel if there was not a Donald Trump president,\u201d Cohen said. \u201cI believe the Middle East would have been entirely wiped out, but Israel.\u201d<\/p>\n
