A former spokesman for the Democratic Party shared how he thinks Abdul El-Sayed\u2019s Senate bid will end, as well as his take on what \u201ca majority of Democrats know\u201d but won\u2019t say about radicals.<\/p>\n

Having platformed on opposing President Donald Trump and demonizing Republicans, numerous Democrats have found themselves outvoted by the even more radical among them, promising a pipe dream via the Democratic Socialists of America proposals.<\/p>\n

Now, as even House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) planted a foot in opposition to their agenda, Jose Aristimu\u00f1o, former deputy national press secretary for the Democratic National Committee, stated plainly that it is his \u201chope\u201d and expectation that the Democratic nominee for Senate in Michigan \u201cwon\u2019t be able to\u201d win in November.<\/p>\n

Appearing on Fox News\u2019 \u201cThe Faulkner Focus\u201d alongside National Republican Senatorial Committee advisor Matt Whitlock, Aristimu\u00f1o was asked by anchor Harris Faulkner who of the more extreme left won\u2019t win in the general election.<\/p>\n

To that, the former spokesman said, \u201cWell, I think \u2014 El-Sayed, for example, in Michigan \u2014 I think he\u2019s somebody that won\u2019t be able to. And I hope he doesn\u2019t. Look, I always say I\u2019m a Democrat, and I want Democrats to win, but these DSA candidates do not represent my party. And I think a majority of Democrats know that, but some of them don\u2019t want to speak up.\u201d<\/p>\n

The segment had kicked off with a quote from Jeffries who remarked, \u201cI don\u2019t support the DSA agenda as has been articulated by the DSA itself.\u201d<\/p>\n

This was followed with some headlines as Faulkner read, \u201cThe Washington Examiner column says, \u2018The Democrats\u2019 growing extremism will surely backfire,\u2019 And New York Post opinion here, \u2018Woke might be wounded \u2014 but the radical left is still infiltrating our politics.’\u201d<\/p>\n

She then asked, \u201cNow, you\u2019ve got Hakeem Jeffries, who thinks he can cull everybody together \u2014 can he?\u201d leading Aristimu\u00f1o to contend, \u201cLook, he needs to do it. He needs to do it; otherwise he\u2019s another one that\u2019s gotta go. There\u2019s an in-fight, Harris, within the Democratic Party, and it is very clear. Do we want to turn this country into Cuba, into Venezuela, or do we want to be the United States of America, the greatest country on Earth?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI think the majority of Democrats agree with me \u2014 they\u2019re center Democrats, but they need to speak up. I\u2019m not too worried, by the way, with the Twittersphere and the folks saying all the stuff that you just pulled up on the program. I think there are some extreme-left candidates that have been winning. I think they\u2019re gonna lose in the primaries,\u201d he added.\u00a0\u201cI think center Democrats need to continue to stand up the way that we did in New Jersey, Virginia and here in Miami.\u201d<\/p>\n

Only a year earlier, Aristimu\u00f1o perceived DSA-backed politicians like New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani as \u201coutliers<\/a>,\u201d contending ahead of myriad primary victories, \u201cThey are the loudest but not the most organized.\u201d<\/p>\n
