U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) made a big production about her decision to start freezing her eggs, and true to form, is now playing the victim after she was savaged by critics.<\/p>\n

The insatiable attention glutton recently posted a video to Instagram to publicly announce what most women would treat as a highly personal matter, calling it \u201cbadass\u201d and suggesting that sharing it was empowering to women.<\/p>\n

Her latest pathetic stunt was ridiculed, leaving the queen of social media clout-chasing wounded and whining, and in more videos posted to Instagram over the weekend, defending her decision to go public and suggesting that her detractors are motivated by sexism.<\/p>\n

AOC says this morning that she absolutely does not regret sharing her egg freezing journey because of the backlash!<\/p>\n

She says whether it is now or in the future, people would question her because she\u2019s a woman in politics!!!!<\/p>\n

\u201cDo I regret coming out publicly about this due to all of the political negativity and the larger political context, and especially this idea that for me I\u2019m quite young in my career, especially when it comes to politics, and so would the backlash around this have any future impact on my career and do I regret it for those reasons?\u201d AOC asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe answer to that simply is no,\u201d she declared. \u201cI was born a woman, period. And I have no control over that, and I wouldn\u2019t want to change that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd the way I feel is, any negativity or judgment that I would receive at any point is negativity that I would receive for being a woman, whether I shared this information or not. So I might as well help others,\u201d Ocasio-Cortez added.<\/p>\n

The original video announcing the egg freezing was posted on Aug. 8, immediately drawing backlash from conservatives who ridiculed the Democrat diva who is mulling a 2028 White House run.<\/p>\n

In her video this weekend, AOC said she\u2019s used to the criticism, which she suggested is the product of a double standard that she\u2019s been held to since her stunning rise to political fame after she upset heavily favored incumbent Rep. Joe Crowley (D-NY) in the 2018 primary.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnother element of this is that ever since I was 28-years-old when I first won my primary, largely unexpectedly to the national media, I have been subject to personal scrutiny and dissection ever since for years,\u201d she told her followers.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd it\u2019s no secret to anyone that it\u2019s been done in a way that is just simply not something my male colleagues have been subject to,\u201d the congresswoman added. \u201cAnd when you go through that level of national scrutiny the first time, it can be very unsettling.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I\u2019ve gone through this so many times and for so many years, and it\u2019s not to say that it\u2019s fair or right or that it isn\u2019t hurtful, but I have the privilege of being more resilient to this kind of negativity than someone who hasn\u2019t,\u201d AOC added.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnyways, long story short, I\u2019m a woman. And I\u2019m not going to ignore that fact when no one else does,\u201d Ocasio-Cortez proclaimed.<\/p>\n
