The timing afforded the host opportunity to compare the conceited musings of Fauci to disgraced former Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) when he \u201cput out a picture of his d*ck.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Prepared with excerpts from the diary, Maher asserted, \u201cReleasing the diary, it is the most embarrassing public releasing of anything since Anthony Weiner put out a picture of his d*ck next to a baby. And like, he\u2019s just so susceptible to flattery.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Even Bill Maher says Fauci\u2019s diary is the \u201cmost embarrassing\u201d release of anything he has seen since Anthony Weiner got caught sending a d*ck pic to a college student.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe [Fauci] is just so susceptible to flattery.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd for the people who say Trump lives by people kissing his\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/4B3yVpbff0\">pic.twitter.com\/4B3yVpbff0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 The Vigilant Fox <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/17.0.2\/72x72\/1f98a.png\" alt=\"\ud83e\udd8a\" class=\"wp-smiley\" \/> (@VigilantFox) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/VigilantFox\/status\/2083386726303559933?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 1, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The comedian then proceeded to juxtapose <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paul.senate.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/2026.07.24_Tonys-Diary-Package.pdf\">statements<\/a> from the career bureaucrat who led the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases for decades to remarks made by President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd for the people who say Trump lives by people kissing his a** \u2026 this is from Fauci\u2019s diary compared to some of the things Trump has said:\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe nurses went absolutely wild to see me. They were squealing and laughing and clapping. It was something to behold.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2018Many print profiles and features on me. Ridiculous \u2014 too numerous to count.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2018\u2026 I\u2019m such a valued spokesperson and a good communicator\u2026 \u2018\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Those remarks were placed against Trump boasting of a record number of Time magazine covers as well as the president stating after a physical exam, \u201cI have a very good brain.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Bill Maher reads Anthony Fauci\u2019s own diary entries to prove the point that Fauci\u2019s shameless self-promotion makes President Trump\u2019s quotes look tame by comparison.<\/p>\n<p>The moment Maher started putting the two side by side, the audience lost it.<\/p>\n<p>MAHER: \u201cAnd for the people who say,\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/UbqeRzb9g6\">pic.twitter.com\/UbqeRzb9g6<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Overton (@overton_news) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/overton_news\/status\/2083427458896810414?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 1, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThis kind of stuff is dangerous,\u201d said Maher of Fauci\u2019s narcissism, \u201cbecause he was having his a** kissed by one side in the debate, and I think he made decisions based on that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Friday\u2019s commentary was not the first time the host bucked the narrative, as he previously spoke out <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bizpacreview.com\/2024\/03\/30\/maher-calls-for-covid-commission-some-very-bad-ideas-were-embraced-as-the-conventional-wisdom-1449104\/\">in favor of a COVID Commission<\/a>, shaming corporate media for failing to issue retractions as the \u201csettled science\u201d outlets spouting as an echo chamber for an agenda proved undeniable.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes, some very bad ideas were embraced as the conventional wisdom, ideas that haven\u2019t aged well. And a lot of its dissenting opinions that were suppressed and ridiculed at the time have proven to be correct,\u201d the comedian said in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>To that point, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul (R), chair of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs responsible for the release of the diary, highlighted an excerpt from August 2022 wherein Fauci pushed back against admitting that the COVID shots were ineffective at \u201cpreventing infection and transmission,\u201d contending, \u201cit would undermine the DoJ\u2019s efforts at mandates for vaccines under certain circumstances.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As Paul put it, \u201cRead this Fauci diary entry closely. Officials would not admit the vaccine was not stopping spread because it might weaken the legal case for mandates. That is not science.
