U.S. lawmakers have finally found something they all agree upon.<\/p>\n

The Senate agreed unanimously on Wednesday that convicted sex offender and Jeffrey Epstein sidekick Ghislaine Maxwell should never be given a presidential pardon or any form of clemency.<\/p>\n

Nevada Democrat Sen. Jacky Rosen brought on the resolution to stop Maxwell from potentially gaining a pardon under acting Attorney General Todd Blanche to clear Trump\u2019s name from Epstein allegations.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s frankly horrifying that Trump would entertain the idea of clemency for even a second for a convicted sex trafficker,\u201d Rosen said in a speech on the Senate floor.<\/p>\n

President Trump nominated Blanche to retain his role as AG, and Rosen asked Republicans to pass the resolution before Blanche has a chance to offer a pardon.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf Republicans advance Todd Blanche\u2019s nomination tomorrow in the Judiciary Committee, this is the least they can do to make their opposition to a Maxwell pardon clear,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

While Rosen\u2019s resolution had bipartisan support, it is not binding, according to The Hill.<\/p>\n

Some X users bashed the \u201cperformative\u201d move and slammed the Senate for its priorities.<\/p>\n

\u201cOK, so\u2026 they pass a performative demand that Trump NOT DO something they made up in their own heads?\u201d one user angrily responded.<\/p>\n

What a waste of time! The Senate cannot override the powers given to the President as described in the constitution. The president and the president alone has the power to issue a federal pardon, why is the Senate driving outside of its lane?<\/p>\n
