MSNOW, formerly MSNBC, was covering the White House Correspondents\u2019 Association Dinner when it was claimed that President Donald Trump \u201cconvinced\u201d Americans not to trust the mainstream media.<\/p>\n

This take completely ignores the massive breakdown in trust that took place under the Obama administration, which preceded Trump getting involved in politics in a meaningful way. The rise of conservative blogging was a direct result of Republicans and conservatives becoming distrustful of how the media at large was spinning the news and running cover for politicians, usually Democrats. If anything, Trump is a symptom of such distrust and not the cause.<\/p>\n

In 2010, eons before Trump, CNN was doing a report on a Tea Party protest in Nashville. The reporter referred to a RACIST WHITE NATIONAL flag being flown by one of the protesters. The flag was the Tennessee state flag!!! I don\u2019t NEED to be told they\u2019re a bunch of morons!!!<\/p>\n
