President Donald Trump delivered hard-hitting joke after joke after joke at the rescheduled White House Correspondents Dinner (WHCD) this Friday before ending on a stunningly high, MAGAnanimous send-off.<\/p>\n

Recall that the original event, scheduled for April 25, was cancelled mid-dinner after a man opened fire near the main security screening area.<\/p>\n

Trump began his rescheduled WHCD dinner speech by making a joke about the immediate aftermath of the April 25 shooting.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter hearing the gunshots, many people yelled, \u2018Get down, get down,\u2019 which caused [rapper and singer] Nicki Minaj to start twerking,\u201d the president quipped. \u201cDo you believe it? \u2018Get down.\u2019 She\u2019s the only one that really understood what that meant. It\u2019s quite an evening.\u201d<\/p>\n

Continuing with this theme, the president also made a joke about the WHCD guests struggling to find the perfect pair of matching shoes.<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone\u2019s looking really good tonight, and I know it was not easy finding shoes to go along with your bulletproof vest, which many people didn\u2019t want to wear because they\u2019d rather die than look 20 pounds heavier,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Turning to other matters, the president paid tribute to White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt by poking fun at her for being \u201cnasty.\u201d<\/p>\n

She has to deal with all of you all of the time, and you could be very difficult. You could be very, very difficult people, but I\u2019m probably being a little bit oversensitive.\u201d<\/p>\n
