Melania Trump isn\u2019t playing when it comes to her reputation and has filed a motion for sanctions against a notorious \u201cjournalist\u201d who is allegedly out to defame her.<\/p>\n

The legal war between the first lady and Michael Wolff started when Michael Wolff tried to sue Melania Trump to keep her from suing him for $1 billion for alleged defamatory statements involving Jeffrey Epstein, Fox News Digital reported.<\/p>\n

A federal judge tossed Wolff\u2019s \u201ccontorted\u201d legal attempt to stop Melania Trump earlier this year, but her legal team isn\u2019t through and is seeking sanctions against him.<\/p>\n

\u201cPlaintiff and his counsel asserted a legally frivolous claim, propped it up with factual contentions that lacked any evidentiary support, and used them to run a political and commercial campaign. They should pay for Mrs. Trump\u2019s fees and expenses incurred for the process they abused,\u201d the first lady\u2019s legal team claims.<\/p>\n

Wolff reportedly ignored a pre-action notice from Melania Trump\u2019s legal team accusing him of defamatory statements about ties to Epstein and demanding a retraction and an apology.<\/p>\n

Instead, Wolff filed the failed lawsuit against Melania Trump and is now paying the price.<\/p>\n

\u201cPlaintiff filed a patently meritless lawsuit and used it to harass Mrs. Trump in public. The requested sanctions do not depend on a ruling that Plaintiff\u2019s statements were defamatory. They rest on the unsupported and mischaracterized federal submissions, the use of those papers for improper purposes, counsel\u2019s multiplication of the federal proceedings, and the Court\u2019s findings that the action itself was abusively presented as textbook bad-faith forum-shopping. Those independent grounds support sanctions against Plaintiff and his counsel,\u201d Melania Trump\u2019s team argued, according to Fox.<\/p>\n

The first lady\u2019s X account posted Fox\u2019s report, where she received a lot of support:<\/p>\n
