A \u201cvery dumb\u201d former adviser made the case that the outcome of the midterm elections was laying the foundation for the \u201cworst two years of Donald Trump\u2019s life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Even if Democrats hadn\u2019t gone beyond telegraphing to openly promoting their intention to further obstruct President Donald Trump\u2019s administration, their behavior during and after his first term suggested it was all but a foregone conclusion. Now, amidst his own troubles with the Justice Department, onetime National Security Advisor John Bolton argued \u201cnotorious\u201d evidence against the First Family and Trump\u2019s inner circle supported \u201cunrelenting pressure\u201d from the left.<\/p>\n

Appearing on \u201cThe Trump Report,\u201d Bolton, who had his security clearance revoked within hours of the president\u2019s return to the White House, spoke at length about Iran and regime change before host Maddie Hale confronted him with a question on whether the ongoing conflict would effectively lose the election and control of Congress for the GOP.<\/p>\n

\u201cLook,\u201d he responded matter-of-factly, \u201cit\u2019s gonna be the worst two years even if the Democrats just flip the House, which I think most people think is certain. The Senate is unclear at this point, but the Democrats have a shot at it, and it\u2019s gonna be unrelenting pressure by the Democrats against all aspects of Trump\u2019s presidency.\u201d<\/p>\n

Moving the conversation forward, the host stated the obvious that House Democrats would \u201calmost certainly launch a wave of investigations and hearings,\u201d to which Bolton responded,\u00a0\u201cI do think that they will try across the board. Every committee in the House within its area of jurisdiction will be holding hearings.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can see that coming,\u201d the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations added. \u201cI think the one issue that isn\u2019t sort of inside the Beltway politics, the one issue that will cut through to Americans is corruption. I think everybody understands that. I think the evidence is open and notorious of what Trump and his family and others in the administration have done.\u201d<\/p>\n

The perspective came days after The New York Times ran the \u201ceducated guesses<\/a>\u201d of election analysts who steered clear of touting big wins for the left in November.<\/p>\n

While Bolton talked of trouble for the president, he himself was awaiting sentencing scheduled for October 2026 after having pled guilty<\/a> to violating the Espionage Act by willfully retaining national defense information, sending \u201cclassified information to family members who were unauthorized to access such information, including a personal email account that was later hacked by a cyber actor allegedly linked to the Islamic Republic of Iran.\u201d<\/p>\n

On top of a $2.25 million fine, the former adviser could face five years in prison.<\/p>\n

Reacting to the guilty plea, the president took to Truth Social and posted,\u00a0\u201cJohn Bolton, a very dumb, unbalanced, and unskilled former representative of the United States of America, just pleads guilty!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe is a terrible person, a lunatic who only wanted to start trouble and wars, and who was a needless pusher of death and destruction wherever he went,\u201d said Trump. \u201cHopefully, he will be dealt with harshly!\u201d<\/p>\n
