Don Lemon\u2019s latest demonizing take on President Donald Trump, Make America Great Again and the Republican Party writ large only lacked \u201cthe Holocaust and all that stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n

In light of multiple attempts on the life of the president and the tragically successful assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, many talking heads on the left have tempered their hateful rhetoric \u2014 if only for a time. That could not be said of the former CNN personality turned indicted guerrilla content creator who likened the MAGA movement to a \u201cmodern version of the Nazi Party.\u201d<\/p>\n

Appearing on the \u201cCan\u2019t Be Censored\u201d podcast where he\u2019d reiterated his consideration of a White House bid<\/a>, Lemon was asked to define MAGA and forecast the future of the Republican Party post-Trump.<\/p>\n

In response, the commentator asserted,\u00a0\u201cMAGA is the closest thing to the modern version of the Nazi Party. This is America\u2019s version. It\u2019s the closest thing, without the Holocaust and all that stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMost intelligent people or logical people, when they get new information and if that information is negative or not factual, then they change their minds and go, \u2018Oh, I wish I\u2019d known better, and now that I have this information, then I can readjust,’\u201d he went on.\u00a0\u201cNo matter how many facts and how much information you give them about this presidency, about the policies, they don\u2019t change their minds. Because they\u2019re really not voting for the price of eggs \u2014 they\u2019re voting for white supremacy; they\u2019re voting for power; they\u2019re voting to have a preeminent voice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lemon further insisted, \u201cThey\u2019re afraid of \u2014 they\u2019ve been co-opted by many people in the Republican Party and Donald Trump to think that their failures are due to something else: the other, the black person, the woman, the Latino, the immigrant, the migrant. That person is taking your job. That person is the reason that you don\u2019t have the financial or career success that you think that you should have.\u201d<\/p>\n

His downplay of DEI\u2019s discriminatory impact did not change the reality that, even after getting called out on it and ruled against by the Supreme Court, institutions have continued to employ policies of \u201crace-based preferences<\/a>\u201d that disproportionately disfavor white applicants.<\/p>\n

Likewise, it was previously reported<\/a> how the head Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Chair Andrea Lucas called on white males to come forward with any allegations of workplace discrimination at the same time Vice President J.D. Vance was sharing a piece from Jacob Savage in Compact that quantified the statistical shift in demographics in media that found younger white males boxed out of the industry.<\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of people think \u2018DEI\u2019 is lame diversity seminars or racial slogans at NFL games,\u201d wrote Vance. \u201cIn reality, it was a deliberate program of discrimination primarily against white men. This is an incredible piece that describes the evil of DEI and its consequences.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reacting to the post, Lucas said, \u201cAbsolutely right @JDVance. And precisely because this widespread, systemic, unlawful discrimination primarily harmed white men, elites didn\u2019t just turn a blind eye; they celebrated it. Absolutely unacceptable; unlawful; immoral. @USEEOC won\u2019t rest until this discrimination is eliminated.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lemon, who was counted among a mob of people indicted for allegedly conspiring against the First Amendment<\/a> rights of congregants at a Minnesota church earlier this year, further asserted,\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s not off the rails. We\u2019ve careened into fascism. The president is a fascist.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for his views of the political right, they weren\u2019t exclusive to Trump supporters, as he also said, \u201cI think much of MAGA is racist and misogynistic. And yes, I think many Republicans are.\u201d<\/p>\n
