Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) responded to doubts about the image of Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) from the hospital.<\/p>\n

Americans are more focused than ever on the health of McConnell, as the sudden death of Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) shocked the nation. The decision to release a hospital photo of the senator with his wife, Elaine Chao, hasn\u2019t necessarily convinced everyone. Johnson joined America\u2019s Real Voice Monday, where he told host Eric Bolling that he\u2019s even heard a rumor that the photo was \u201colder.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI saw a picture that I\u2019m not sure I believe is actually Mitch McConnell from the hospital after what I\u2019ve heard and what I\u2019ve seen. Do you believe Mitch McConnell is the one who said, \u2018I\u2019m ok. Here\u2019s the picture of my wife, Elaine Chao, and I\u2019 in that hospital bed?\u201d Bolling asked the lawmaker.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, I just heard from some other source that was an older photo. So, I really don\u2019t know. I haven\u2019t talked to Mitch,\u201d Johnson replied. \u201cI certainly wish he and his family well. I hope he can recover. It\u2019s\u2013 listen. It\u2019s sad to watch people age, no matter who that person is. I\u2019ve served with Mitch McConnell for 16 years. Obviously, I\u2019ve disagreed with him on a host of things, but I also know he loves this country. He loves. He loves the Senate. He reveres the Senate. And so, again, I do try and put the best construction on things. I try and look for the best in people. Mitch McConnell also loves his country, so I wish him well. I hope he recovers. I hope he can come back and contribute and vote with the president\u2019s agenda.\u201d<\/p>\n

As BizPac Review previously reported<\/a>, McConnell addressed his health in a statement that revealed exactly why he went to the hospital in the first place.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy doctors have confirmed that I didn\u2019t break any bones or suffer a concussion. I didn\u2019t have a heart attack or a stroke. I don\u2019t have any tumors or hemorrhages. But I was briefly unconscious and was taken to the hospital. While receiving excellent care over the past several weeks, I\u2019ve also had to deal with a mild case of pneumonia,\u201d the senator\u2019s official statement read.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can assure you that I\u2019ve been a good patient. At my age, I tend to do what my doctors tell me to do. I\u2019ve submitted to every test they can think of to help figure out what caused this incident. And I\u2019m continuing to do everything they ask to speed my recovery. In fact, with signs of continued progress, I\u2019ve been able to move from hospital care to a rehabilitation center where I\u2019ll keep regaining my strength.\u201d<\/p>\n
