Bill Maher slams \u201cwoke\u201d BuzzFeed and HuffPo straight to their owner\u2019s face on his podcast.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Byron Allen on\u00a0Club Random<\/em>, Maher complained that the outlets are \u201chorrible\u201d to him and said that Huffington Post in particular came down on him hard \u201cfor years.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI bought BuzzFeed. Buzzfeed is a publicly traded company, and I ended up making an investment in it. Buzzfeed, HuffPost and Tasty,\u201d Allen explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll these places have been horrible to me,\u201d Maher said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHave they really?\u201d Allen asked, shocked.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh, I certainly know Huffington Post has. Oh, once Ariana [Huffington] left and it became like the most woke, ridiculous- Oh my God,\u201d Maher responded.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat did they say about you? I don\u2019t even know,\u201d Allen wondered.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo you own it?\u201d the host asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, now I own it \u2026 I control 50, it\u2019s publicly traded, I control 52%,\u201d Allen said.<\/p>\n

\u201cSomeone\u2019s f**ked now,\u201d the pair laughed.<\/p>\n

Maher continued on to explain that he disliked the outlets because he feels they demand \u201cpurity\u201d out of everyone on the left, lest they be compared to Republicans.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey were peak woke,\u201d he said of HuffPo.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah? And they came down on you pretty hard?\u201d Allen pressed.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh, for years,\u201d Maher said. \u201cThat\u2019s what I hate about the left. The purity. And that\u2019s what HuffPost- I\u2019m worse than Republicans because I\u2019m not pure, and a lot of what they believe, of course, is silly and insane revolutionary garbage from people who don\u2019t know facts, or history, or perspective, but that\u2019s OK. I don\u2019t have grudges against \u2014 I don\u2019t even read it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAll these places are a bunch of snarky, f**king millennial, probably nepo babies. I mean, I just know how these kids who have these jobs, how much they were indoctrinated before they got there. They are not America.\u201d<\/p>\n

Allen purchased BuzzFeed and HuffPo in a deal that closed on May 27. At the time, Allen issued a statement praising the \u201ctwo iconic global digital media brands\u201d and proclaiming plans for expansion.<\/p>\n
