In the midst of a \u201cshameless media blitz,\u201d what looked to be a \u201ccalculated\u201d Hunter Biden wondered why a particular group had yet to tell President Donald Trump, \u201cGo f*ck yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n

Between resurfacing on social media, starting a Substack, and doing interviews, the scandal-plagued former first son has not been shy of the spotlight, as many suspect he\u2019s testing the waters on a political future. During one such appearance on \u201cThe Jim Acosta Show,\u201d Biden raised some of the president\u2019s interactions with the press in questioning why they\u2019ve not publicly cursed out Trump.<\/p>\n

After referencing Trump\u2019s interview with NBC News\u2019 Kristen Welker that ended with the chief executive walking out<\/a>, Biden brought up the manner in which the president had addressed<\/a> Bloomberg reporter Catherine Lucey aboard Air Force One in November when, after he\u2019d moved on to another member of the press, she continued to ask a question.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe turned to a reporter with your former colleagues, Jim, on the plane and said, \u2018Quiet, piggy!\u2019 Why is it that none of your former colleagues turned to him and said \u2018Go f*ck yourself, Mr. President,\u201d said the guest before pausing to invoke his father, former President Joe Biden. \u201cSorry, my dad literally, he said stop cussin\u2019, Hunter.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reacting to his guest, insisting he\u2019s \u201ccome close to saying that,\u201d Jim Acosta lamented, \u201cI will tell you that I think it\u2019s one of the most depressing things that I\u2019ve seen in my entire career, the way that some in the press have just rolled over for him and they won\u2019t stand up to him. And I did it maybe too much, I don\u2019t know, maybe people think it was the right amount, but I did so much that now I\u2019m here, and now I\u2019m no longer at my old place as I like to call it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I like being here because now I can do what I want to do. But if somebody, if I were on Air Force One and Donald Trump had called one of my colleagues \u2018piggy,\u2019 I don\u2019t know if I would have been able to contain myself,\u201d he said before fantasizing, \u201cI probably would have said, \u2018Go f*ck yourself.\u2019 I certainly would have said that\u2019s not appropriate. Please take that back. This person is a good reporter and also a good person, and you\u2019re not.\u201d<\/p>\n

The former CNN personality went on to insist that \u201cJoe Biden,\u201d who, in just one instance, infamously referred to a voter as a \u201clying, dog-faced pony soldier<\/a>\u201d on the 2020 campaign trail, \u201cwould never do that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Writing for the New York Post<\/em> in the wake of a legal victory for the younger Biden that earned him $1.7 million over a defamation suit against Overstock founder Patrick Byrne, Miranda Devine criticized Hunter for his \u201cshameless media blitz\u201d to promote the documentary of his \u201csugar brother<\/a>\u201d Kevin Morris.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe new Hunter is polished, calculated and utterly inauthentic. He is a skillfully manufactured product, and his sudden explosion into the media landscape is anything but organic,\u201d she wrote<\/a>. \u201cIt seems more like a sophisticated publicity rollout by professional PR operatives (which he recently admitted to hiring in an interview with Wired) to promote the upcoming documentary Hollywood lawyer Kevin Morris made during the years he was bankrolling the disgraced former first son.\u201d<\/p>\n

Devine asserted that Biden is likely futilely emphasizing his past debauchery and addiction to steer away from alleged influence peddling.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe reason none of their lies stand up to scrutiny is that too many people know the truth and have told it in court, in whistleblower testimony, in hard-won prosecutions and in a number of forensically detailed books which are the antidote to Hunter\u2019s feeble attempt to rewrite history,\u201d she went on after noting Morris\u2019 own suggestion that the infamous laptop from hell doesn\u2019t even exist.<\/p>\n

In conclusion, the columnist left room for the possibility that Biden firmly moved away from his past with considerable doubt, \u201cPerhaps Hunter is a reformed character, as he now claims, only interested in helping others beat addiction. Perhaps he really does see himself following in his father\u2019s footsteps as a politician, maybe president \u2026 maybe as VP. And pigs might fly.\u201d<\/p>\n
