Reports on Kash Patel\u2019s scrutinized movements found the FBI director slamming \u201cgold plated dumba**es\u201d at MS NOW while the White House made note of \u201cFake News at its finest.\u201d<\/p>\n

This week, Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley (R) set out on an \u201cindependent and objective\u201d review, seemingly with the intention of dispelling Democratic claims of impropriety where it concerns the director\u2019s expenses. Coverage by MS NOW was followed by a claim about Patel being \u201csummoned\u201d to the White House, only for him to double down on mockery with a tease about an upcoming announcement.<\/p>\n

Sharing a post from the FBI Rapid Response X account that screenshot MS NOW\u2019s headline reading, \u201cKash Patel called to White House on heels of continued questions over his behavior,\u201d the director wrote, \u201cYes, I called MS NOW dumba**es this morning and then later today they post an article only gold plated dumba**es like Ken [Dilanian] and Carol [Leonnig] would write.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amid suggestions Patel was at the airport, ready to jet off to Chicago to see his country music singer girlfriend Alexis Wilkins, the report claimed he \u201cabruptly cancelled\u201d those plans \u201cafter top administration officials frustrated with Patel summoned him to the White House \u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

MS NOW\u2019s report admitted at the onset, \u201cThe precise reasons that Patel\u2019s political bosses demanded he cancel his trip and report to the West Wing are unclear,\u201d before continuing with claims, \u201cbut several people said top Trump deputies were disturbed by a range of actions by Patel.\u201d<\/p>\n

Firing back, the FBI Rapid Response account described the report as, \u201ca complete and total lie, but we would expect nothing less than a failing outlet trying to get clicks!\u201d asserting in part that Patel was \u201cnever on the tarmac\u201d as it fact-checked claims the director was \u201cset to travel to Chicago in the Bureau\u2019s jet to see his girlfriend perform at a music festival\u201d before he was \u201csummoned\u201d to the White House.<\/p>\n

Earlier Friday, following MS NOW\u2019s coverage of Grassley\u2019s investigation,<\/a> which featured an image depicting the Justice Department official with golf clubs, snorkel equipment, a BMW, a jet, and a jet ski, Patel posted, \u201cNah, my jet ski is gold plated\u2026.dumba**. Your job is to lie. Mine is to protect the American people, and business is good!\u201d<\/p>\n

He went on to add Friday evening, \u201cThe only thing worse than MS NOW\u2019s garbage rebrand is their reporting \u2014 all false except one thing \u2014 I was at the White House, true, and the fake news will find out why soon.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joining in batting down the allegations that Patel was in some kind of trouble with President Donald Trump\u2019s administration,\u00a0White House director of communications Steven Cheung responded to Leonnig\u2019s \u201cscoop\u201d by posting,\u00a0\u201cAgain. Completely false. There has been no frustration over his tweet this morning. I reposted this tweet. Other White House officials reposted his tweet. Him calling MSNOW dumba**es is an accurate description of their sh*tty reporting.\u201d<\/p>\n

Similarly, White House senior director for counterterrorism Sebastian Gorka tacked on with what he described as a photo of him with Patel, smiling outside the White House the day the director was \u201csummoned,\u201d and said, \u201cI\u2019d ask the Lying Legacy Media [if] this looks like a man who\u2019s being \u2018summoned\u2019 or \u2018admonished\u2019 but that would presuppose I give one iota for their opinion.\u201d<\/p>\n

Likewise, the White House Rapid Response account posted, \u201cFake News at its finest. Nobody was frustrated. In fact, we\u2019ll start boosting and promoting his earlier tweet even more. Congrats MSNOW \u2014 you all just played yourselves, dumba**es.\u201d<\/p>\n
