Not only is the left up in arms after an illegal alien from Mexico was shot and killed by an ICE agent, but now Mexico is seeking legal recourse for the \u201cmistreatment\u201d of its citizens.<\/p>\n

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum announced she would be pursuing \u201clegal measures\u201d against the Trump administration, joining in her nation\u2019s outrage over the shooting death of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo in Houston, Texas, by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer during a traffic stop.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur objective is to go beyond diplomatic notes and the measures we have already raised before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, because we cannot allow the mistreatment of our fellow Mexicans in the United States,\u201d Sheinbaum told reporters. \u201cUnfortunately, there has been another death of a Mexican national in the United States for being detained, when that person\u2019s only offense was lacking immigration documents, even though they had been hired by an American company.\u201d<\/p>\n

Araujo reportedly \u201crammed an ICE law enforcement vehicle, refused to follow multiple verbal commands and weaponized his vehicle in an attempt to run over an ICE law enforcement officer, resulting in our officer firing his weapon in self-defense,\u201d according to DHS.<\/p>\n

On July 7, 2026, at approximately 6:50 AM CT, ICE law enforcement attempted to conduct a vehicle stop as part of a targeted enforcement operation to arrest an illegal alien.
