\u201cThe View\u201d host Joy Behar continues to reveal that she doesn\u2019t know how anything in the real world works.<\/p>\n

Behar reacted on Wednesday to a clip of White House Secretary Karoline Leavitt saying that some members of Generation Z are being drawn to socialism because they\u2019ve been \u201craised with silver spoons in their mouths.\u201d<\/p>\n

After \u201cThe View\u201d crew reacted in disgust to the \u201cgross\u201d clip, Behar explained that Leavitt is a \u201cDEI hire\u201d<\/p>\n

Why?<\/p>\n

Because she \u201chas all the things.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShe got an education. She married a rich guy, so talk about a DEI hire,\u201d Behar fumed.<\/p>\n

Co-host Sunny Hostin was quick to run with Behar\u2019s take.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think to Joy\u2019s point, you know, it\u2019s really rich for her to, at 28 years old, married to a 65-year-old, I mean that\u2019s her choice \u2014 he\u2019s worth $6 million\u2026 $61 million, so I\u2019m not sure where she comes off saying that Gen-Zers are lazy. I\u2019m raising Gen-Zers. They work constantly, and I know, I can see it. They make a lot less money. They live paycheck to paycheck\u2026 Two-thirds of Gen-Zs are now in the workforce; 42% of them say they are living paycheck to paycheck,\u201d Hostin said.<\/p>\n

Leavitt was hired on her own merit, which by any objective measure, she has proven time and time again \u2014 even while pregnant!<\/p>\n

Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin tried to sprinkle in the fact that Leavitt is quite successful in her own right.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust to be fair to Karoline, she\u2019s been personally very successful. She\u2019s had a big career in politics and media. She\u2019s made over $1 million herself,\u201d Griffin said in defense of Leavitt.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s 28!!\u201d Behar shrieked.<\/p>\n

Maybe is the fact that she rose to a high level position by 27.
\nShe worked for it.
\nShe probably the best at it in my lifetime.
\nShe sees people her age with the same education doing very little.
\nHer marital status has nothing to do with her success<\/p>\n

Well Joy, here\u2019s the thing. A DEI hire is hired due to attributes like gender, race or sexual identity to tick boxes, not because of their qualifications. As you mentioned here, she got an education, one that helped give her the qualifications she needs. Not DEI<\/p>\n
