A former congresswoman may have deleted her \u201crape for politics\u201d claim, but not her next insinuation regarding allegations brought against Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner.<\/p>\n

Taking a \u201cvote blue, no matter who\u201d stance appeared to back the left into a corner this week as allegations against their choice to challenge incumbent Maine Sen. Susan Collins (R) proved too much to brush off.<\/p>\n

While Democrats were tripping over themselves to withdraw their endorsements, former Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R) instead saw fit to bring up Jews following a since-deleted post calling out the alleged victim.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you are raped or sexually assaulted, report it immediately,\u201d wrote Greene. \u201cDon\u2019t wait for years later until the man runs for office to go to news outlets to tell your story. And if you had consensual sex with him years ago, don\u2019t turn it into rape for politics with conflicting stories.\u201d<\/p>\n

That post was subsequently followed by dot-connecting involving the pro-Israel lobbying group American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) as she stated, \u201cI do find it interesting that Platner is hated by AIPAC and rape accusations show up years later from a woman who dated him. AIPAC hated Massie too and they rolled out fake AI ads showing lies about him in a sex trio with AOC and Ilhan Omar.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI certainly hope any woman who is raped or sexually assaulted is safe and gets justice; that\u2019s why it\u2019s so important to report immediately and not wait years,\u201d furthered Greene. \u201cAlthough the Epstein victims have been trying for years to get justice, and unfortunately AIPAC, their donors, and friends love that elite group of men they are accusing. So that\u2019s not really working out. I\u2019m not taking sides, just making observations.\u201d<\/p>\n

The former congresswoman\u2019s \u201cobservations\u201d came as\u00a041-year-old Jenny Racicot detailed to both Politico and CNN how Platner allegedly sexually assaulted her after entering her home uninvited in 2021 while drunk. The two were said to have had an \u201con-and-off relationship\u201d that began in 2019 after meeting on the dating app Bumble.<\/p>\n\n

Referring to past Reddit posts<\/a> from Platner, Racicot told CNN\u2019s Jake Tapper, \u201cI thought, here\u2019s a man who was drunk and who, by dictionary definition, raped me. And he\u2019s blaming drunk women. So I just felt like that was a very odd take to have on that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I also feel like with all of the comments that he made about women, sexual assault, rape, even the comments that he had made that was in The New York Times article about, you know, threatening people with rape,\u201d she went on, \u201clike, why does this person have this issue, scattered throughout their life, throughout their commentary, like it\u2019s on their mind? Why do they have such a strong opinion about women coming forward with allegations? I just feel like this isn\u2019t the first time.\u201d<\/p>\n

In describing her experience, Racicot stated that, \u201cI just had to evaluate my safety and come up with the least worst outcome to this situation. And so I felt like complying for my safety was the least worst option.\u201d<\/p>\n

When Tapper pointed out, \u201cBut that\u2019s not consenting,\u201d she replied, \u201cNo, complying is not consenting,\u201d before going on to add, \u201cI didn\u2019t want to find out how unsafe I could get that night or how harmed I could be that night.\u201d<\/p>\n

Platner issued his own statement Monday, addressing what he called the \u201ctroubling, serious and false allegations,\u201d made against him.<\/p>\n

As for the question posed as to who is paying Greene for her content, one user highlighted that the since-deleted post included a paid partnership ad for Polymarket about the odds of Platner dropping out of the Senate race.<\/p>\n
