American greatness left a World Cup traveler in tears as he admitted what initially caused him \u201cfear to travel to the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n\n

In the weeks since the 2026 FIFA World Cup has been underway, communities across North America have embraced the prolific drinking of the Tartan Army, Norway\u2019s Viking row, and the myriad guests soaking up cities and small towns alike. Despite seeing his home team eliminated by Paraguay, a German\u2019s tears were for love of the U.S. after buying into propaganda about how \u201cthe country\u2019s not safe.\u201d<\/p>\n

During an interview with NBC10 Boston\u2019s Oscar Marg\u00e1in, Sebastian Kraus could be seen repeatedly wiping away tears with his hands and his shirt as he got choked up about his experience as a visitor to America.<\/p>\n

\u201cI fall in love with this country, and this was so emotional, I even cried in the stadium,\u201d he told the reporter after being seen taking a moment to collect himself, including a breathing exercise having been asked, \u201cWhy? Help us understand, why is this so impactful to you?\u201d<\/p>\n

Juxtaposed against video he shared with the outlet of a group of strangers driving him back to his hotel where he joyfully expressed, \u201cBob takes us home,\u201d and \u201cAmerica is great,\u201d Kraus told Marg\u00e1in, \u201cTo be honest, I was a bit scared or had a fear to travel to the United States. News about shootings and criminals and that the country\u2019s not safe.\u201d<\/p>\n

As with his experience in the U.S., the German visitor explained rewatching the video of his time with the strangers \u201cmaybe 40 times\u201d left him with tears in his eyes. He also told NBC10 that he was more upset about having to return home across the Atlantic than seeing Germany ousted from the World Cup. \u201cAmericans are not rude, Germans are not rude, if we are together, we can achieve great things.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kraus\u2019 emotional account of his time stateside follows similar reports<\/a>, including from British content creator Oliver Henry, who garnered attention from President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe owe America a huge apology, because America is nothing like what the media tells us,\u201d he said in a social media video. \u201cEveryone is so friendly, everyone is so accommodating, and I\u2019ve honestly had the best time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Having had his testimony shared<\/a> by the chief executive, earning him an invite to meet Trump, Henry also wrote, \u201cI now understand the American dream. I came to the World Cup because I was offered a last-minute ticket to watch England play Croatia in Dallas and I started documenting my journey \u2026 This sort of thing could only happen in America. As an Englishman, I never really understood what America has to make it \u2018the land of opportunity\u2019 \u2026 But results speak for themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reactions to Kraus and his tears celebrated the German\u2019s experience while decrying the propaganda that has seen European nations adopt policies contrary to the freedoms enjoyed in America.<\/p>\n

His whole life in Germany he\u2019s been fed lies about America by their media. There\u2019s a reason so many Europeans mock the US until they visit it for themselves, they\u2019ve been brainwashed by the politicians and media elites.<\/p>\n
