{"id":630282,"date":"2026-07-05T02:45:00","date_gmt":"2026-07-05T02:45:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/buglecall.org\/?p=630282"},"modified":"2026-07-05T02:45:00","modified_gmt":"2026-07-05T02:45:00","slug":"majority-believes-they-will-achieve-the-american-dream-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buglecall.org\/?p=630282","title":{"rendered":"Majority Believes They Will Achieve The American Dream"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"field field--name-title field--type-string field--label-hidden\">Majority Believes They Will Achieve The American Dream<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"clearfix text-formatted field field--name-body field--type-text-with-summary field--label-hidden field__item\">\n<p><strong>250 years after American independence, a majority of people in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/topics\/760\/united-states\/\">United States<\/a>\u00a0continue to believe in their personal American Dream. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/chart\/36380\/opinions-about-american-dream\/\">As Statista&#8217;s Kathraina Buchholz reports,<\/a> 69 percent of those interviewed by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/news.gallup.com\/poll\/711293\/american-dream-endures-approaches-250-years.aspx\">Gallup<\/a>\u00a0in the beginning of the year say that they will achieve it in their lifetime.<\/p>\n<p>This is in contrast, though, to <strong>54 percent saying that not everybody can achieve the American Dream in this day and age.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/chart\/36380\/opinions-about-american-dream\/\" title=\"Infographic: Majority Believes They Will Achieve the American Dream | Statista\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Infographic: Majority Believes They Will Achieve the American Dream | Statista\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.statcdn.com\/Infographic\/images\/normal\/36380.jpeg\" width=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>You will find more infographics at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/chartoftheday\/\">Statista<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>While in a question about other people, Americans&#8217; answers are driven by a more sober view, positivity still prevails in regard to one&#8217;s own success story. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>58 percent of Americans also say that they think the American dream is unfinished, a further indication for the disillusionment many feel with the idea in the current environment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The number is similar among Republicans and Democrats.
