Recent elections have arguably made New York\u2019s \u2018Islamunist\u2019 Mayor Zohran Mamdani the new face of the Democratic Party that is openly embracing the combined tenets of Islamism and communism. While President Donald Trump took a swing at the \u201cgodless Communists<\/a>\u201d the left is elevating, Meghan Hays, former advisor to Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden, joined others on her side, likewise decrying inaction from Democratic leaders to quell a party takeover.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese people are not Democrats. They don\u2019t believe in Democratic values and they should not be allowed to be in primaries in Democratic places,\u201d she told Fox News host Martha MacCallum on Friday\u2019s edition of \u201cThe Story.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reiterating her point in the context of a clip of one such candidate, Hamas-sympathizing activist Aber Kawas, who won the nomination for New York state Senate District 12 on Tuesday, Hays expressed, \u201cMost of the country does not view 9\/11 that way, or even a lot of these things people in New York were saying.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prior to earning the backing of Mamdani, Kawas had gone on the record saying in 2017, \u201cthe system of capitalism and racism, and white supremacy, etc., have all \u2014 and Islamophobia \u2014 have all been used, you know, to colonize lands, right, to take resources from other people, and so this is, like, a long trajectory. And we\u2019re just seeing the manifestations of that continuation, right, with 9\/11.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reminiscent of Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar (D) who\u2019d described the attack on America that took the lives of 2,977 and counting as \u201csome people did something,\u201d Kawas also said, \u201cThe idea we have to apologize for a terror attack that a couple of people did, and then there is no apology or reparations for genocides and for slavery \u2026 is something that I kinda find reprehensible.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat is really frustrating to me as a Democrat \u2014 and I know I\u2019m very moderate \u2014 but why aren\u2019t people in the party standing up to these folks?\u201d asked Hays. \u201cWhy aren\u2019t more people endorsing? Why aren\u2019t people saying, in these purple districts that are super important to take back the majority of the House and even have a chance in the Senate, \u2018We won\u2019t stand for this?\u2019 And you\u2019re not seeing a lot of it. I think everyone\u2019s just like, \u2018Oh, we\u2019ll just stand back and let it happen.\u2019 And that is, I think, the biggest problem with our leadership that we have. Folks need to stand up or they will take over. And again, not Democrats.\u201d<\/p>\n

The former presidential advisor\u2019s position is especially telling in light of the reaction of radicals in New York who were spotted chanting \u201cYou\u2019re next\u201d when encountering an image of House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) after Tuesday\u2019s socialist success, a point the politician dodged<\/a> when confronted.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, as self-styled moderates attempted to distance themselves from the rest of the Democratic Party with a \u201cPromise to America<\/a>\u201d initiative favoring principles Americans used to agree on, longtime Democrat strategist James Carville slammed the notion of a big tent on the left, distancing himself<\/a> from the socialists, saying, \u201cthere\u2019s just some sh*t that I can\u2019t be in the same tent with.\u201d<\/p>\n
