U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy does not regret raising his voice at President Donald Trump, defending himself in an interview, and declaring he would not be \u201cbullied into silence.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Louisiana Republican addressed a report from MS NOW\u2019s Mychael Schnell alleging Cassidy lost his temper with Trump during a discussion on the Iran war. The senator was asked about the report by ABC News\u2019 Rachel Scott on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe American people just need to know what\u2019s going on with Iran,\u201d he explained. \u201cI don\u2019t think there\u2019s been sufficient information shared with Congress or with the American people, so that was my message.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Schnell, during a lunch meeting with the president and three other Republicans, Trump called out those who voted in favor of limiting the war in Iran.<\/p>\n

Cassidy \u201cconfronted President Trump over the Iran memorandum of understanding, a source familiar with the lunch conversation tells me,\u201d Schnell noted, adding, \u201cCassidy was \u2018yelling\u2019 at Trump, the source said.\u201d<\/p>\n
