A man was reportedly arrested for vandalizing the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, which has been targeted by saboteurs seeking to cause embarrassment to President Donald J. Trump.<\/p>\n

The president\u2019s makeover of the iconic Washington, D.C. attraction for the nation\u2019s 250th anniversary with \u201cAmerican flag blue\u201d painting has been plagued by an algae bloom, much to the delight of critics, and some have now taken to ripping off pieces of the paint, including ABC News reporter Jonathan Karl.<\/p>\n

ABC News\u2019 Jonathan Karl reports from the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool where workers continue to battle algae \u2013 and the new paint job appears to be falling apart.<\/p>\n

In another video, Miller shows a man she said has been arrested for \u201cvandalizing\u201d the pool after apparently trying to wrest a hose used by workers who were clearing the algae.<\/p>\n

Trump has also now weighed in on the Reflecting Pool situation in a Friday night Truth Social post touting the tremendous progress in cleaning up D.C. monuments, memorials, statues, and fountains, and stating that the problem now is with vandals.<\/p>\n

\u201cLightweight ABC Reporter, Jonathan Karl, was seen sticking his hand into the Pool, and trying to rip the rubber off of the surface,\u201d the president continued. \u201cThe algae is 75% gone, and the condition will soon be completely remedied, and the area that was vandalized, fortunately, is just a small area of damage, and will be fixed early next week.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a shame that the Radical Left Lunatics, most likely Dumocats, who have spent their lives trying to ruin our Country, are free to do so. Law Enforcement is actively investigating this situation, and will hopefully have it resolved soon,\u201d Trump concluded.<\/p>\n
