President Donald Trump tore into several Republicans in the U.S. Senate \u2014 the usual suspects \u2014 for their ongoing efforts to block his agenda, including a refusal to ensure election integrity by backing the VOTE America Act.<\/p>\n

The GOP holds a 53-47 lead in the U.S. Senate; however, with Sens. Mitch McConnell (Ky.), Thom Tillis (N.C.), Lisa Murkowski (Alaska), and Susan Collins (Maine) among the ranks, it\u2019s hard to argue the party has a majority.<\/p>\n

Asked by a reporter in the Oval Office about Republican support for a supplemental bill to fund the Iran war, Trump immediately blasted McConnell as an \u201cangry man\u201d over losing his leadership role.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, McConnell\u2019s an angry man. He, you know, got thrown out of his position. He\u2019s an angry guy. You know, he should be very thankful to me, because if I didn\u2019t win, he wouldn\u2019t have gotten to appoint \u2014 I appointed the judges. He didn\u2019t. He gets credit for appointing judges. He didn\u2019t appoint anybody. I did. You know how I did? I won the election, and then I picked judges.\u201d<\/p>\n

He cut him right down to the bone and reduced his entire 40+ year career to nothing within seconds.<\/p>\n

TRUMP: \u201cWell, McConnell\u2019s an angry man.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd the judges ended up getting approved. And they said, \u2018Oh, doesn\u2019t he do a good job?\u2019 He didn\u2019t do a great job. What the hell did he do? I won the election,\u201d the president continued. \u201cHe\u2019s an angry man who is very disloyal to John Thune. John Thune\u2019s a good man. He was a loyal worker for Mitch McConnell. He worked for Mitch McConnell. He worked very hard. He was very loyal to him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump went on to say he disagreed with McConnell, who now chairs the Senate Appropriations Defense Subcommittee, \u201ca lot\u201d because the former Senate Republican leader \u201cgave so much money to Democrats,\u201d while refusing to give him money to build a border wall.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, Mitch McConnell\u2019s a bad guy and he\u2019s \u2014 I thought he was lousy at his job, lousy at his job,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Trump then turned his ire toward Murkowski, before mentioning Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.)<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd Murkowski is terrible, terrible to us, terrible to the country,\u201d Trump said. \u201cAnd, you know, I almost feel guilty. I\u2019ve probably done more for Alaska than any other state. Not because of her, because it\u2019s the right thing to do. She\u2019s just an impediment. But she\u2019s there. She probably will be a negative vote.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou have a couple of others. I think Rand Paul\u2019s come a long way. Let\u2019s see what happens. I think Rand Paul likes \u2018SAVE America.\u2019 Because Rand Paul is usually a negative vote, but I think he likes \u2018SAVE America.\u2019 So that\u2019s good. I like Rand Paul. But, you know, I hope he votes for us.\u201d<\/p>\n
