Another day, another Democrat pulling the race card to distract from corruption.<\/p>\n

Democrat Rep. Terri Sewell unleashed a tantrum on her Republican colleagues and the Department of Justice for harassing black women \u201cover and over\u201d with investigations of fraud. Her lecture took place at the \u201cPreventing Fraudulent Donations: Transparency, Verification, and Accountability\u201d hearing in the House, where the CEO of the Democratic fundraising platform ActBlue testified.<\/p>\n

ActBlue CEO Regina Wallace-Jones repeatedly refused to answer questions from lawmakers on Wednesday, invoking her Fifth Amendment right nearly two dozen times as she faced allegations that the group had directed foreign donations to federal campaigns. Despite her stonewalling and evading answering questions, Wallace-Jones\u2019 testimony set off Sewell, who delivered a grandstanding lecture about racism.<\/p>\n

\u201cOver and over again, Donald Trump\u2019s Department of Justice has harassed black women with bogus lawsuits,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe should not forget the harassment of the Federal Reserve Board of Directors, Board of Governors, Lisa Cook, the harassment of New York Attorney General Tish James, and their harassment of our colleague, New Jersey Congresswoman\u00a0 Lamonica MacGyver,\u201d Sewell continued. \u201cSo it is not surprising that this Republican-led committee is now attacking ActBlue and its CEO, Miss Wallace-Jones.\u201d<\/p>\n

ActBlue has been under scrutiny by the House Administration Committee since 2023 over the processing of overseas donations, and Wallace-Jones\u2019 testimony came after allegations that she had made false statements to Congress.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Democrats at the hearing posed no questions to Ms. Wallace-Jones but instead attacked WinRed, the Republican fund-raising platform, and Ken Paxton, the Texas attorney general and Senate nominee who has mounted his own investigation of ActBlue,\u201d the New York Times<\/a> reported on Wednesday\u2019s hearing.<\/p>\n
