Embattled Maine Democrat Senate candidate Graham Platner fired back at Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) during remarks at a weekend town hall event.<\/p>\n

The Bernie Sanders-backed oyster farmer has been engulfed by scandal over his Nazi \u201cTotenkopf\u201d death\u2019s head chest tattoo, graphic sexual texting to women, and disturbing allegations<\/a> from an ex-girlfriend featured in a recent New York Times story, with Fetterman breaking ranks with his party to savagely criticize the candidate.<\/p>\n

On Sunday in Portland, Platner ripped the hoodie-clad galoot, whom he referred to as an \u201ca**hole\u201d and an example of what not to be once elected.<\/p>\n

Graham Platner rips into fellow Democrat John Fetterman as \u201can a**hole\u201d:<\/p>\n

\u201cI got a lot of criticisms about the way this government functions, but in order for us to make it functional, we\u2019re gonna have to do stuff. And you can\u2019t just go down there and be John Fetterman, and just\u2026 pic.twitter.com\/UEMBGcQvum<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Senate really is a place of, it\u2019s a lot about relationships, and \u2026 I don\u2019t want to go down there and simply be nonfunctional,\u201d the candidate said in response to an audience member who asked him about how he would conduct himself in Washington if he wins.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, as you can all probably tell, I got a lot of criticisms about the way this government functions, but in order for us to make it functional, we\u2019re going to have to do stuff, and you can\u2019t just go down there and be John Fetterman, and \u2026 just sort of be an a**hole,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n

Platner said that since the Pennsylvania Democrat has \u201csaid mean things\u201d about him, he\u2019s \u201callowed to say that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fetterman had previously described<\/a> Platner as an \u201ca**hole\u201d in remarks reported by NOTUS\u2019s Igor Bobic.<\/p>\n

\u201cDemocrats really, really like Platner in Maine, but the Republicans f**king love him,\u201d Fetterman said. \u201cIf Maine wants an a**hole with a Nazi tattoo on his chest, they get him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Platner is hoping to unseat longtime Republican incumbent Sen. Susan Collins, but he is not only running against her, but also his own sordid past, which, according<\/a> to Fetterman, may include previously undisclosed \u201cd*ck pics\u201d allegedly shared on social media.<\/p>\n

CNN\u2019s Kasie Hunt looked visibly uncomfortable as Senator Fetterman blew the whistle on Democrat Senate candidate Graham Platner\u2019s past behavior.<\/p>\n

It was when Fetterman dropped the term \u201cdick pics\u201d that Hunt began to unravel.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a guy that had a problem with me, how I dress, but he seemed to have no problem posing in a towel at a disgusting website that consistently had serious problems about that kind of depravity,\u201d Fetterman said during a recent Fox News appearance.<\/p>\n

Maine Democrats are expected to overlook Platner\u2019s questionable history in Tuesday\u2019s primary, setting up a matchup with Collins in November.<\/p>\n
