The renovation of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool was highlighted by a gripefest from Washington, D.C. residents, as reported by MS Now.<\/p>\n

The network\u2019s report on President Donald Trump\u2019s overview of the pool on the National Mall focused on the negative, as host Alex Witt described the $14 million revamp as the president\u2019s \u201cvanity project.\u201d Telling viewers that the \u201cverdict\u201d was in on the renovations, the MS Now host then featured reactions from D.C. residents who, not surprisingly, were unimpressed.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s an incredible waste of money. I think it\u2019s an incredibly stupid idea,\u201d one man said in the clip.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s horrible,\u201d one woman told MS NOW. \u201cThe color I\u2019ve seen on the news is disgusting to me, as opposed to how beautiful it was in the past.\u201d<\/p>\n

An older man expressed that he would have \u201cpreferred to keep it like it was.\u201d<\/p>\n

Breaking the pattern was a man wearing an American flag shirt who thought the pool looked \u201cgreat.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m glad it\u2019s getting filled up now so that the tourists can start to see it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
