Favorable ballot drops found Los Angeles\u2019 own Mamdani edging past Spencer Pratt in the mayoral primary as he\u2019s drawing attention to suspicious vote totals.<\/p>\n

While states comparable in size to California are able to have the vast majority of their votes counted within a few hours on election night, even Los Angeles County continued to drag its heels, just creeping past 80% counted as of Sunday evening.<\/p>\n

That latest update also happened to see Los Angeles City Councilmember Nithya Raman climb from about 10% behind Pratt on Tuesday to being projected to knock the Republican out of the second spot for the Los Angeles mayoral general election, in the race with incumbent Mayor Karen Bass (D).<\/p>\n

Given ongoing concerns about election integrity, especially regarding mail-in ballots and voter rolls, Pratt took to social media hours before the call and reminded people how devastated Raman looked on election night when she addressed supporters.<\/p>\n

After the call projecting the Democratic Socialist of America candidate as the second winner with Bass, Pratt shared a screenshot of an article from March that highlighted there being more than 43,000 homeless people on the streets of Los Angeles \u201con any given night\u201d over a post from FOX 11 Los Angeles reporter Matthew Seedorff, who covered the difference in results in the nearly one week since the polls closed.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn election night, Pratt led Raman by about 40,000 votes\u2013roughly a 10-point advantage. As of tonight, Raman now leads Pratt by about 3,100 votes, a net swing of more than 43,000 votes since Tuesday,\u201d wrote Seedorff, prompting the candidate to react, \u201c\u2018A net swing of more than 43,000 votes since Tuesday..\u2019 43,000, huh? In her own statement on the update, Raman expressed, \u201cWe are encouraged by the latest vote count and remain grateful to the thousands of Angelenos who have powered this campaign.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bass\u2019 campaign also chimed in with spokesperson Alex Stack stating, \u201cWe look forward to winning a contest against an opponent who allows encampments near schools and fights against hiring cops, yet is MIA on saving Hollywood jobs and fighting back when ICE invades LA.\u201d<\/p>\n

Likewise, as the same shift in the outcome of the jungle primary is taking place in the gubernatorial race with Republican commentator Steve Hilton ahead by less than 5% over Democratic billionaire Tom Steyer for second place, who was already been bumped from first<\/a> by former Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra (D), President Donald Trump weighed in on Truth Social to say, \u201cHas anybody been watching the CROOKED Election going on in California. Two great Republican Candidates are being cheated, and so is America, which if the Dumocrats are able to fulfill their mission, great trouble and consternation will follow. Meanwhile, after announcing \u201cmultiple election fraud investigations<\/a>\u201d as counting continued in California, First Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California Bill Essayli shared a letter sent to California\u2019s Secretary of State in August 2025 reminding of federal authority, captioned in part, \u201cCalifornia Is Blocking a Federal Audit of Its Voter Rolls \u2026 California allows first-time voters to register using forms of ID that most Americans would find surprising\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

He then listed gym membership cards, employer ID cards, credit or debit cards, prescription drug labels, and insurance cards \u2014 the latter with the note that \u201cCalifornia provides free health coverage to undocumented immigrants\u201d and a link to accepted photo IDs.<\/p>\n
