{"id":614126,"date":"2026-06-06T14:35:33","date_gmt":"2026-06-06T14:35:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/buglecall.org\/?p=614126"},"modified":"2026-06-06T14:35:33","modified_gmt":"2026-06-06T14:35:33","slug":"kash-patel-weighs-in-after-elon-musk-declares-splc-a-criminal-organization-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buglecall.org\/?p=614126","title":{"rendered":"Kash Patel weighs in after Elon Musk declares SPLC a \u2018criminal organization\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"630\" src=\"https:\/\/americanwirenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/gw-kash-patel-1200x630.jpg\" class=\"attachment-facebook size-facebook wp-post-image\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/div>\n<p>The disgraced Southern Poverty Law Center\u2019s criminal behavior has gone peak viral, attracting the attention of even billionaire Elon Musk.<\/p>\n<p>In response to a report alleging that the SPLC had paid KKK members to stay in the Klan, Musk bluntly wrote in a tweet that the \u201cSPLC is a criminal organization.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>His post was later retweeted by FBI Director Kash Patel:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">We are following the money because MONEY DOESN\u2019T LIE! <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/2k8VFiV0LH\">https:\/\/t.co\/2k8VFiV0LH<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 FBI Director Kash Patel (@FBIDirectorKash) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/FBIDirectorKash\/status\/2062963923335229646?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 5, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The tweets from Musk and Patel came after a brand new Fox News report about a \u201csuperseding indictment\u201d against the SPLC that the Trump Department of Justice has obtained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe superseding indictment builds on an 11-count charge that the Justice Department filed against the SPLC in April,\u201d according to the network. \u201cThe new document alleges how $4 million worth of donations to the SPLC were used by informants to, in part, grow extremist groups, buy materials for cross burnings, and purchase materials to make KKK robes and hoods.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe DOJ says some SPLC workers knew that donor money was being used for these activities. And <strong>in one instance, federal prosecutors allege an SPLC employee actually encouraged two people to remain in the KKK, even though they wanted to leave, and offered to pay them a $1,200 monthly salary to stay<\/strong>,\u201d the report continued.<\/p>\n<p>Listen:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Federal prosecutors have expanded their case against the Southern Poverty Law Center, alleging the group hid from donors that millions of dollars were used to fund informants inside extremist organizations, including activities tied to the KKK.<\/p>\n<p>The SPLC denies the claims, saying\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/TfGudMA7EU\">pic.twitter.com\/TfGudMA7EU<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Fox News (@FoxNews) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/FoxNews\/status\/2062965513139998738?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 5, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The SPLC has sought to defend itself by alleging that it\u2019d worked in tandem with the authorities, sharing all its findings with them. The DOJ doesn\u2019t buy it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Justice Department says the SPLC committed wire fraud by hiding from donors how their funds were being used, creating a series of shell accounts to pay informants,\u201d according to Fox News. \u201cYet the group\u2019s revenue continued to grow from roughly $39 million in 2010 to $129 million in 2023.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Appearing on Fox News\u2019 \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/shows\/hannity\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hannity<\/a>\u201d this Thursday, House Judiciary Committee chairman Jim Jordan reported that the SPLC \u201cnearly tripled\u201d its revenue after the manufactured Charlottesville controversy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey almost tripled their revenue after the now famous Charlottesville rally, where a person was killed and one of the guys they were paying was promoting that rally, coordinating transportation,\u201d he said. \u201cAfter that rally, they almost tripled their revenue.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Listen:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">.<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Jim_Jordan?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@Jim_Jordan<\/a> \u2013 The SPLC nearly tripled its revenue after Charlottesville <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/CUfPur8sDM\">pic.twitter.com\/CUfPur8sDM<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Sean Hannity <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/17.0.2\/72x72\/1f1fa-1f1f8.png\" alt=\"\ud83c\uddfa\ud83c\uddf8\" class=\"wp-smiley\" \/> (@seanhannity) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/seanhannity\/status\/2062860018907586653?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 5, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Jordan also implicated the Biden administration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Biden Justice Department knew about this,\u201d he argued. \u201cThey were investigating it, but they didn\u2019t bring the charges and I think the reason is obvious.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, of course, you can\u2019t charge them when you\u2019re making them the standard \u2014 when you\u2019re working with [them]. They actually had Southern Poverty Law Center people come in and help train the prosecutors in the Biden Justice Department,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>This was true.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[M]ultiple documents obtained by America First Legal show that the DOJ\u2019s Civil Rights Division partnered with the SPLC, \u2018including scheduling regular meetings, giving the SPLC early access to federal law-enforcement data, and also allowing SPLC employees to train DOJ prosecutors,&#8217;\u201d according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailysignal.com\/2025\/11\/25\/just-how-closely-did-bidens-doj-rely-on-the-splc-jim-jordan-is-on-the-case\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Daily Signal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAmong other things, the DOJ cited the SPLC in a memo targeting \u2018radical traditional Catholics,\u2019 and then-Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke met with SPLC staff repeatedly,\u201d according to the reporting.<\/p>\n<p>Despite this damning reporting, the SPLC pleaded not guilty to the original charges filed in April and recently asked a court to dismiss the case, arguing that it was the victim of vindictive prosecution.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis apparent superseding indictment attempts to shore up the flaws in the initial charges, but it changes nothing,\u201d SPLC attorney Abbe Lowell told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/southern-poverty-law-center-superseding-indictment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CBS News<\/a>. \u201cThe SPLC did not lie to its donors, it did not mislead banks it did business with, and its informant program prevented violence and saved lives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lowell also alleged that the DOJ shared the indictment with the media before it was unsealed in federal court.<\/p>\n<p>This represents \u201canother example of the government\u2019s troubling and unusual handling of this case,\u201d he maintained.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/americanwirenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/gw-kash-patel-1200x630.jpg\" title=\"Kash Patel weighs in after Elon Musk declares SPLC a \u2018criminal organization\u2019\" \/><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The disgraced Southern Poverty Law Center\u2019s criminal behavior has gone peak viral, attracting the attention of even billionaire Elon Musk.
