A pro-Palestinian plastic surgeon who once testified on behalf of a convicted Islamic terrorist won a Democrat primary election in New Jersey this Tuesday, prompting outrage from critics.<\/p>\n

\u201cDr. Adam Hamawy \u2026 prevailed in a crowded Democratic primary field<\/strong> Tuesday to succeed retiring Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman,\u201d according to Politico<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Meaning that out of all the Democrats available, the majority of Democratic voters chose to vote for the terror supporter.<\/p>\n

Democrats just voted for Egyptian-born
\nAdam Hamawy for Congress<\/p>\n

\u2013 volunteered for a non-profit which was discovered to be a front for al-Qaeda<\/p>\n

\u2013 lied under oath as a defense witness for an islamic terrorist<\/p>\n

Fox News notes that Hamawy, who was born in Egypt, testified on behalf of Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman in 1996. Rahman, known as the \u201cBlind Sheikh,\u201d was indicted for inciting the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. Although Rahman didn\u2019t personally participate in the bombing, his followers did.<\/p>\n

Andrew McCarthy, the chief prosecutor in Rahman\u2019s trial, told Fox News that Hamawy\u2019s ties to Rahman are a surefire case of \u201cguilt-by-association.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite his controversial past, Hamawy was endorsed by the \u201csquad,\u201d including Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.<\/p>\n

Speaking with Fox News<\/a>, the son of a man killed during the World Trade Center bombing called Hamawy\u2019s primary win disappointing.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s just so disappointing\u2026 that this is the best candidate that we can come up with,\u201d lifelong Democrat Michael Macko told Fox News<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen your father was killed at the hands of terrorists while he was in his workplace, especially prior to 9\/11, which was just unfathomable at the time, you become almost a single-issue voter. This is just something that\u2026 I can\u2019t look past,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Macko also disputed the claim from Hamawy\u2019s campaign that he had no ties to Rahman.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was the time leading up to him, you know the time that he spent with him, you know, between 1991, 1993 when the bombing was being planned,\u201d Macko said. \u201cHamawy was traveling with him around the country, acting as an interpreter.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd even during the trial, he testified that he translated a fax in 1993. That\u2019s the year that the bombing took place. It\u2019s just too much of a coincidence that Hamawy did not have any idea of what was going on,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Yet Democrats \u2014 particularly so-called \u201cprogressives\u201d \u2014 continue to fiercely defend Hamawy.<\/p>\n

\u201cCourageous candidates like Dr. Adam Hamawy are the fighters voters want to take on corporate power and fight for working people,\u201d Stephanie Taylor of the Progressive Change Campaign Committee told Politico.<\/p>\n

\u201cDr. Hamawy won because voters saw him as a fearless fighter for the working class against a political and economic system rigged for billionaires and other powerful interests,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Alexandra Rojas, the executive director of Justice Democrats, added in a statement to The New York Times<\/a>\u00a0that the group is \u201cproud to send New Jersey\u2019s first Justice Democrat to Congress.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDr. Hamawy won this race the old-fashioned way,\u201d Rojas said. \u201cBy outworking his opponents, out-organizing the establishment and building the progressive coalition needed to deliver his people-first vision to New Jersey working families.\u201d<\/p>\n

Palestinian supporters have taken Hamawy\u2019s victory as a sign that \u201cPalestinian freedom is a WINNING platform\u201d:<\/p>\n
