The reflecting pool, which sits between the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument, was originally built in the 1920s. It is one of the most iconic sites in D.C., and is the site of Martin Luther King, Jr.\u2019s famous \u201cI Have a Dream\u201d speech.<\/p>\n

The project is part of ongoing efforts by President Donald Trump to beautify Washington ahead of America\u2019s 250th birthday next month. However, because Trump is president, the left has been in an uproar even though,\u00a0 on the Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool alone, Trump has saved taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s Trump Derangement Syndrome running amok, and the president played on that sad phenomenon by posting a brilliant meme of the reflecting pool being filled with liberal tears.<\/p>\n
