Pelley\u2019s firing went viral after he reportedly made a scene in a CBS staff meeting with newly appointed Executive Producer Nick Bilton.<\/p>\n

Pelley reportedly recorded himself calling out Bilton directly, telling him he \u201cwould never be welcomed\u201d at the show and slamming his \u201cslender\u201d qualifications for the job.<\/p>\n

Then he leaked it. Big mistake.<\/p>\n

Bilton added Pelley to the list of recent CBS firings in a public letter, and the former \u201c60 Minutes\u201d personality and his media allies have been screaming about it ever since.<\/p>\n

The hosts of Fox News Channel\u2019s \u201cThe Five\u201d see it differently and believe Pelley had it coming.<\/p>\n

\u201c[Pelley] throws a tantrum in public view. Then he leaks it to everyone to amplify his like appearance as some kind of hero,\u201d said Greg Gutfeld. \u201cHe just looks like a cartoon because he is a cartoon.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you look at people like Nick Shirley and Chris Rufo, Bill Melugin\u2019s border coverage, [Michael] Shellenberger on homelessness, it reveals how far 60 Minutes has fallen,\u201d Gutfeld continued. \u201cThey have not done any real investigative pieces, and all the mistakes they have made. You remember Leslie Stahl talking about the laptop, denying it was real, or Pelley himself blaming Biden\u2019s infirmities on a stutter? These guys are idiots. Goodbye.\u201d<\/p>\n
