Secretary of State Marco Rubio slammed Democrats on Wednesday for turning a House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing into a \u201ccircus.\u201d<\/p>\n

The theatrics started with Democrat Rep. Sara Jacobs pestering him about the long-gone 2020 presidential election that Democrats remain clinically obsessed with.<\/p>\n

\u201cMr. Secretary, who won the 2020 presidential election?\u201d Jacobs asked, kicking off what might be the dumbest exchange of the year.<\/p>\n

Rubio rightly noted that he didn\u2019t show up to the FOREIGN AFFAIRS COMMITTEE hearing to be asked about the 2020 presidential election.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a foreign affairs committee,\u201d he bluntly said.<\/p>\n

\u201cGreat. You can\u2019t answer the question, even though we all know that President Biden won,\u201d Jacobs continued pressing despite the point Rubio had just made.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t answer the question because, as Secretary of State, I do not participate in domestic political issues,\u201d Rubio promptly pushed back.<\/p>\n

His correct answer appeared to irritate Jacobs, who fired back by alleging that the question was about \u201cour democracy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy secretary, it seems like you have an issue admitting facts,\u201d she continued. \u201cYou can\u2019t say that the president lost the 2020 election, just like you won\u2019t admit that President Trump is losing this reckless war of choice. And just like you couldn\u2019t admit that the shoes the president bought you were too big<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou clearly don\u2019t know what winning means, and not because the facts aren\u2019t clear to you. It\u2019s because the truth would cost you your job. And the American people are entitled to a Secretary of State who tells them the truth even when the president doesn\u2019t want to hear it. And my constituents, our service members, deserve better,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Rubio was caught completely off guard.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know what shoes she\u2019s talking about,\u201d he said. \u201cWhat is she talking about?\u201d<\/p>\n

According to The Daily Beast<\/a>, a far-left outlet, President Donald Trump gifted a pair of shoes to Rubio and Vice President JD Vance back in January. Leftists have alleged since then that Rubio\u2019s news shoes are too big for him.<\/p>\n

The hearing continued with Republican Rep. Tim Burchett yielding his time so that Rubio could respond in full to Jacobs\u2019 allegation.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, I don\u2019t know about the shoes,\u201d Rubio began. \u201cI mean, he gave me some Florsheim shoes that are actually pretty good. They fit fine. I don\u2019t know what she\u2019s talking about. Maybe that\u2019s what she\u2019s referring to.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jacobs then strangely chimed in to tell the Secretary of State that \u201cYour shoes look very nice today, Mr. Secretary.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHow can you see them \u2014 they\u2019re way down here?\u201d an incredulous Rubio replied. \u201cWe\u2019re talking about shoes. Are you guys kidding me? I mean, is this the Foreign Affairs Committee, or is this like a circus? What is this?<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n

It was Democrats acting like circus animals, as usual.<\/p>\n

Indeed, during another part of the hearing, Rubio was asked about \u2026 the president\u2019s sleeping patterns.<\/p>\n

According to Fox News<\/a>, Rubio was also asked about whether the president\u2019s personal financial situation may have played a role in his decision to strike Iran. The Secretary of State forcefully rebuked this outrageous suggestion.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot once,\u201d he said. \u201cJust to be clear, not a single time, not even for a millisecond, has the president ever discussed his personal economics and relations to war or any public policy that he\u2019s made, for that matter. And I\u2019ve been in every one of his foreign policy meetings for the most part.\u201d<\/p>\n
