President Donald Trump ripped into CNN\u2019s Kaitlan Collins while speaking with reporters in the Oval Office, calling out her \u201cvery corrupt\u201d network and noting that the White House correspondent never smiles.<\/p>\n

Trump remarked on the \u201chatred in her eyes\u201d after Collins asked repeated questions about the anti-weaponization fund, with the president telling her to \u201cbe quiet\u201d and that she should be \u201cashamed\u201d of herself as a former conservative. Collins shared a clip of the exchange during \u201cThe Source,\u201d prefacing the video with her\u201dnote\u201d that the first exchange \u201cactually occurred before I had yet to ask the president a question.\u201d<\/p>\n

The heated moments came as Trump was asked about dropping the nearly $1.8 billion fund that was to aid those who alleged they were targeted unfairly by the federal government.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat happened to great people, great American people, the way they were victimized, the way they were savaged, you have suicides, they killed themselves. They were bankrupt,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey were weaponized by the Biden administration, by a bunch of thugs, including Obama people. And like nobody\u2019s probably ever been,\u201d he continued, referring to those who were in Washington D.C. on January 6, 2021.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat we have and what we are going to be showing over the coming weeks and months, you\u2019re not even going to believe. Some of you will believe it, like CNN will believe it, because they knew what was going on. They\u2019re crooked as hell. CNN\u2019s a very corrupt organization, but with a corrupt reporter standing right there,\u201d he added, pointing to Collins in the pool of reporters.<\/p>\n

\u201cNever smiles. You never-, she\u2019s a young, beautiful woman. Never smiles. I never see a smile on her face; I see her standing there with hatred in her eyes. She has hatred because we have borders, because we have a strong military, because we cut our taxes, because we do things that everybody wanted. And then we win our election in a massive landslide,\u201d Trump continued as Collins stood stone-faced.<\/p>\n

The president added that \u201creporters should be happy\u201d because \u201cwe\u2019re saving our country.\u201d<\/p>\n

Later, Collins followed up with another question about the fund.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust to clarify on what you were asked earlier, is the $1.8 billion DOJ fund dead or is it on hold?\u201d she asked, with Trump responding, \u201cI\u2019d have to ask the lawyers, I don\u2019t know.\u201d<\/p>\n

As he further elaborated on the fund abuses of the media, Collins interjected, only to be shot down by Trump, telling her to \u201cbe quiet\u201d and adding, \u201cYou should be ashamed of yourself. You \u2014 you used to be a conservative. She was a conservative from Alabama. Can you believe it?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m still from Alabama,\u201d Collins quipped.<\/p>\n

\u201cCNN does such false reporting, but now they have new ownership, so maybe it\u2019ll straighten it out. I doubt it, but it\u2019s hard to straighten garbage out,\u201d Trump said. \u201cBut CNN has abused, and others have abused so badly, people. These are people that are great.\u201d<\/p>\n
