HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is calling out the CIA for its alleged shady activity surrounding his uncle\u2019s assassination records.<\/p>\n

The assassination of President John F. Kennedy has been shrouded in so much secrecy that conspiracy theories surrounding the event are plentiful. One of those using all of his might to secure the release of the United States government records is RFK Jr., who is crying foul in a statement to\u00a0the New York<\/a> Post<\/a>, just days after \u201cthe CIA seized boxes of secret JFK documents from the office of outgoing Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, prompting furious outcry from influential House Republicans.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is yet another inexplicable move by the CIA that it\u2019s hard to put a face on it that\u2019s not sinister \u2013 because it\u2019s illegal,\u201d Kennedy told the outlet. \u201cI mean, the JFK assassination document act said they had to release all of that stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n

The John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act of 1992 scheduled the release of the documents for 2025, and President Donald Trump also signed an executive order days into his second term that called for the \u201cendless delays\u201d of the release to end.<\/p>\n

When asked why the CIA would be so resistant to the documents being released, Kennedy didn\u2019t have an answer.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know. I mean, obviously, there\u2019s something that they feel like that they don\u2019t want the public to read. It\u2019s very strange.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also thanked the Republican lawmakers, House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer and Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, who are joining his fight.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m grateful to them for doing that. I don\u2019t even know if you need Congress, but I\u2019m glad that Congress responded.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, a CIA spokesperson also made a statement to The Post:<\/p>\n

ODNI has acknowledged in writing they made a mistake saying that boxes were seized and then were again mistaken in saying there were ever any boxes either missing or not made available. ODNI has acknowledged all boxes have been made available to them for more than a year.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
