The kids are going to be alright.<\/p>\n

Many among Generation Z, at least, have been showing signs of common sense and patriotism. So it was refreshing to see a video that reinforces that hopeful trend when high school students outside of Seattle went to bat for their beloved school police officer who was reportedly being booted in the name of \u201cequity\u201d.<\/p>\n

Libs of TikTok shared video that showed students protesting outside with signs supporting the officer, and said they had also started a petition.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe board claimed some students felt \u201cdiscomfort\u201d with the officer and want to move toward a more \u201cequitable\u201d program,\u201d Libs of TikTok reported.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe student body launched a massive petition and walkout in support of the officer, who they said made the school feel safe.\u201d<\/p>\n

BREAKING: Hundreds of students at Bothell High School protested after the @Northshore_SD<\/a> school board voted to cut a beloved School Resource Officer.<\/p>\n

The board claimed some students felt \u201cdiscomfort\u201d with the officer and want to move toward a more \u201cequitable\u201d program.<\/p>\n

According to X account, Theia, who did a deep-dive with Grok, there were \u201cno specific personal reasons or detailed complaints from students claiming the resource officer made them feel unsafe were publicly quoted or documented.\u201d<\/p>\n

But there\u2019s more, according to Theia\u2019s findings:<\/p>\n

2) The school board voted 4-1 to end the school resource officer (SRO) contract with Bothell Police, citing general concerns about \u201cequitable policing,\u201d the \u201cschool-to-prison pipeline,\u201d and that the presence of an armed officer on campus makes some students feel unsafe\u2014particularly students of color.
\n3) Malik Lopez-Terron, president of the Black Student Union, said that only one student had ever expressed discomfort with the SRO program\u2014and that this did not represent the student body\u2019s views or values.
\n4) Other students of color at public comments pushed back, with one saying: \u201cAs a student of color, I\u2019m tired of watching everyone assume they already know how students of color feel.\u201d
\n5) Many students of color described Ware as a mentor who built positive relationships and made the school feel safe.<\/strong><\/p>\n

X users were happy to see the kids stand up for sanity and their safety, but weren\u2019t surprised that the decision likely stemmed from woke adults.<\/p>\n

It is insane to think it is a good idea to remove cops from schools. This is something the school board tried in Denver until students started shooting up the schools again. These progressives just don\u2019t get it. The safety of the students is job #1.<\/p>\n
