Political violence in America continues to lean in one direction \u2014 toward the right \u2014 despite attempts by the media to paint it as a mutual problem.<\/p>\n

The latest example of a right-leaning American being attacked took place in Southern California, where a 69-year-old Army veteran was beaten nearly to death outside his Trump-themed Escondido home.<\/p>\n

Kerry Sheron was viciously beaten outside his home, which is adorned with pro-Trump, patriotic memorabilia, and his wife said he is in critical condition and is not expected to survive the attack. Maria Sheron said her husband was attacked because of his pro-Trump politics.<\/p>\n

Maria Sheron says there is \u201cno hope\u201d for her husband, Kerry, who was brutally beaten outside his home.<\/p>\n

Thomas Caleb Butler, 32, was arrested after fleeing the scene and charged with attempted murder \u2014 he reportedly lived just around the corner from Sheron.<\/p>\n

A bystander told NBC 7 that Sheron was standing in his front yard when the suspect came up and attacked him. The brutal assault was captured on security cameras, according to the affiliate. The attack is being investigated by the Escondido Police Department.<\/p>\n

Local media is reporting that it \u201cwas unclear what provoked the alleged assault.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sheron shared a video on Facebook back in March detailing some fixes he was forced to undertake after someone damaged his display:<\/p>\n\n
