The Commission of Fine Arts (CFA) approved revised plans for the U.S. Triumphal Arch, which the haters dub the \u201cArc de Trump,\u201d on Thursday, and it\u2019s proving to be more than the talking heads on CNN can bear.<\/p>\n

CNN anchor Brianna Keilar reported on the CFA\u2019s vote, noting that the commission is composed of Trump appointees while showcasing before-and-after renderings to suggest the beautiful structure would be an eyesore to the Washington, D.C. landscape.<\/p>\n

The Trump administration is championing the proposed 250-foot monument, which will dwarf the 164-foot Arc de Triomphe in Paris, to celebrate America\u2019s 250th birthday. It would reportedly sit between the Lincoln Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery, overlooking the Potomac River.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re the only important and major city that doesn\u2019t have\u201d a triumphal arch, Trump told reporters after hearing that the new design was approved.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was meant to be built for many years. The circle going up to the bridge\u2026 people pass that circle, they say, \u2018Why isn\u2019t something built here?’\u201d Trump said of the planned location.<\/p>\n
