U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., called out the left\u2019s love of political violence in a scathing op-ed.<\/p>\n

Writing for\u00a0Breitbart<\/a>, the senator pointed to the three unsuccessful attempts to end President Donald Trump\u2019s life and the killings of conservative podcaster Charlie Kirk and UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson to accuse the Democratic Party of making political violence a \u201ccore pillar\u201d of what they stand for. The deaths of Thompson and Kirk were widely celebrated by those on the radical left, while the failed assassination attempts on Trump were lamented.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not a mystery how we got here either. For years, Democrats have been using irresponsible rhetoric when it comes to President Trump and Republicans. Here\u2019s a few examples. Former Vice President Kamala Harris called Trump a \u2018fascist.\u2019 Former President Joe Biden repeatedly referred to Trump as a \u2018threat to democracy.\u2019 Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez called Trump a \u2018rapist.\u2019 Rep. Jasmine Crockett has referred to Trump as a \u2018wannabe Hitler\u2019 and said \u2018I\u2019m not saying the President is a pedophile. But\u2026\u2019 Lastly, State Rep. Steven Woodrow (D-CO) said after the first assassination attempt on President Trump\u2019s life, \u2018The last thing America needed was sympathy for the devil, but here we are,’\u201d Tuberville wrote.<\/p>\n

With such bold declarations, is it any wonder some people would decide to take extreme action if they thought they\u2019d be saving others from a grim fate?<\/p>\n

Tuberville noted that Democrats have repeatedly attempted to impeach the president, and former President Barack Obama \u201ccolluded with America\u2019s intelligence agencies to spy on the Trump campaign.\u201d An entire fake dossier was even created to bring him down in what is perhaps the most naked expression of their hatred for the president.<\/p>\n

\u201cDemocrats decided to take things up a notch when President Biden got back into office. President Trump was arrested and indicted on several false charges. His Mar-a-Lago home was raided by the FBI. But they didn\u2019t stop there \u2013 they also were relentless in going after any of his supporters or friends. The phones of dozens of senators, including mine, were tapped by the Biden DOJ. President Trump\u2019s ally, Roger Stone, was arrested live on CNN, while Peter Navarro was falsely imprisoned. January 6 protestors were thrown into prison for years. Pro-life advocates were arrested for praying in front of Planned Parenthood facilities. Yet after all of this, President Trump still won the 2024 election in a landslide and returned to the White House. And thank God he did. But the dangerous precedent President Biden set by weaponizing the DOJ to go after his political opponent still lingers,\u201d the senator continued.<\/p>\n

Ultimately, Tuberville says, such political violence is not a \u201cboth sides\u201d issue.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not saying no Republicans have ever committed atrocious acts of violence against Democrats \u2014 but it is far more common on the left. We see this on full display in the so-called manifesto of the man who allegedly tried to take out President Trump two weeks ago. He wrote, \u2018I am no longer willing to permit a pedophile, rapist, and traitor to coat my hands with his crimes.\u2019 We\u2019ll find out more during his trial, but this man doesn\u2019t appear to have been radicalized by some overseas cult,\u201d he wrote, adding, \u201cUntil Democrats start policing the kind of speech cavalierly thrown around about President Trump and Republicans, this violence will continue.\u201d<\/p>\n

He called for an end to the rhetoric so Americans can unite once more.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the wake of Charlie Kirk\u2019s murder in September, you heard Democrats on TV briefly talking about \u2018unity.\u2019 But here\u2019s the thing \u2013 you can\u2019t have unity with people who want you dead. There will be no unity and no peace until Democrat leaders like Barack Obama, Kamala Harris, and Gavin Newsom tell their party to stop referring to the President of the United States as \u2018Hitler,\u2019 \u2018fascist,\u2019 \u2018rapist,\u2019 \u2018pedophile,\u2019 and \u2018a threat to democracy. In this country, you are innocent until proven guilty, and Donald Trump has never been found guilty of any of these horrific crimes. This type of false rhetoric is incredibly dangerous and radicalizes people to the point of violence. It needs to stop now.\u201d<\/p>\n
