Abigail Spanberger and her Democrat colleagues attempted to gerrymander its districts to push out Republicans.<\/p>\n<p>Several Southern states responded by redistricting their own maps, but legally.<\/p>\n<p>As Bethany O\u2019Leary tried to explain to a furious leftist over the news. There\u2019s a big difference in how the states acted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTennessee and Florida simply passed normal legislation through the standard legislative process. No constitutional shortcuts. No procedural violations.<br \/>\nOne was cheating the system.<br \/>\nThe other followed the rules.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s not \u201crigging maps.\u201d That\u2019s called following the law.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After the leftist responded by calling her a stupid, \u2018c-word\u2019, and argued that Virginia \u201clet the voters decide\u201d, O\u2019Leary calmly followed up to explain more:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVirginia Democrats tried to sneak a constitutional amendment onto the ballot by violating their own procedural rules. The Virginia Supreme Court, in a 4-3 decision, said \u201cnah\u201d and threw it out.<br \/>\nTennessee and Florida passed regular legislation through the normal legislative process. No constitutional tricks. No rule-breaking.<\/p>\n<p>One side got caught cheating the system.<br \/>\nThe other followed the law.<br \/>\nCrying \u201cthey f*cked their citizens\u201d because YOU didn\u2019t like the outcome doesn\u2019t make you right.
