A Republican congressman has been accused of committing horrific acts of abuse toward his ex-wife, but he claims it\u2019s all bull.<\/p>\n

The accusations against Ohio Rep. Max Miller come from his ex-wife, Emily Moreno, the daughter of fellow Republican Sen. Bernie Moreno.<\/p>\n

The latest incident occurred on Feb. 1, when Miller allegedly struck Moreno during a custody exchange at his home involving their 2-year-old daughter, according to the Daily Mail<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The attack left bruises on Moreno\u2019s body, she alleged. As proof, she shared photos with the Daily Mail of the bruises:<\/p>\n

To Moreno\u2019s credit, The Daily Beast<\/a> has obtained confirmation from the Bay Village Police Department that they responded to an incident at Miller\u2019s home the day of the alleged incident.<\/p>\n

During a prior altercation that occurred in June of 2024, Miller allegedly threw a pot of boiling water at Moreno. Some of it hit her chest:<\/p>\n

Miller reportedly wrote a letter to Moreno later that same day. While he didn\u2019t admit to any abuse in the letter, he did profusely apologize, writing that his guilt was eating him alive.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know what to do,\u201d he wrote. \u201cI do know you love me, protect me, and care for me. I failed to do that for you. I\u2019m sorry and I just want to close my eyes and wake up and everything be normal.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI know that won\u2019t happen. I\u2019m sorry I failed you and Ruth. It\u2019s eating me alive. I love you, even if you think I don\u2019t. I love you so much. I\u2019m so sorry. I\u2019m just a f\u2014 up and worthless,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

After the two officially separated that year, they reached a divorce settlement months later in June 2025 that called for Miller to pay child support and share joint custody of his daughter.<\/p>\n

In court documents obtained by TMZ<\/a>, Moreno alleged that Miller \u201cregularly speaks to me in an inappropriate, aggressive and demeaning manner, which is not in the best interest of our child.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c[Max] has conducted dangerous physical behavior in the child\u2019s presence,\u201d she continued. \u201cI do not believe it is in our child\u2019s best interest for [Max] and me to jointly make a decision for her. I fear that attempting to make joint decisions \u2014 and the lack of cooperation from [Max] in doing so \u2014 will cause direct harm to [their child].\u201d<\/p>\n

Miller fervently denied everything on social media:<\/p>\n

Once again, the media refuses to tell the truth. Let me be clear. The recent article by the @dailymail<\/a> is nothing but lies. My team gave you everything you needed to refute these claims, but instead, @nieto_phillip<\/a> and the @Daily_MailUS<\/a> are stenographers for someone who truly\u2026<\/p>\n

Additional court documents show that Moreno has recently been trying to change their custody agreement out of growing concern about her ex-husband\u2019s \u201cdangerous physical behavior\u201d in their daughter\u2019s presence.<\/p>\n

In a statement to the Daily Mail, Moreno\u2019s attorney said that she still stands by everything.<\/p>\n

Moreno\u2019s attorney, Andrew Zashin, told the Daily Mail that his client stands by her account of Miller\u2019s assault and that the evidence speaks for itself.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese images, combined with the documented history in court filings, directly contradict years of Mr. Miller\u2019s denial,\u201d attorney Andrew Zashin said. \u201cAny claim that Ms. Moreno fabricated these allegations collapses in the face of contemporaneous physical evidence.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is unfortunate that these matters have become public when Ms. Moreno has made every effort to keep them private and out of court for the sake of their daughter. But the ongoing pattern of behavior, coupled with the continued denials, has made silence no longer possible,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

The problem is that Miller faced similar accusations from his ex-girlfriend, turncoat former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham. She previously alleged that he\u2019d pushed her against a wall and slapped her after she\u2019d accused him of cheating.<\/p>\n
