Hospice care expert Ira Byock laid out the red flags clearly: \u201cAnything over 100 patients at a given time that you have responsibility for as a hospice physician should start to raise red flags.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, led by Dr. Mehmet Oz, recently delisted around 450 suspected fraudulent hospice providers in Los Angeles County, suspending more than $600 million in questionable claims with no appeals filed.<\/p>\n
