Conservative podcaster Megyn Kelly drew criticism over what some see as a complete flip-flop on Islam from the prominent Iran war critic.<\/p>\n

The former Fox News commentator and ex-supporter of President Donald J. Trump has railed against the decision to attack the Islamic Republic, a war that the president insists is necessary to prevent the Iranians from obtaining a nuclear weapon that could be used against Israel.<\/p>\n

During a recent conversation with veteran political reporter Mark Halperin, Kelly defended fellow MAGA renegade Tucker Carlson, whose own seeming embrace of the so-called \u201creligion of peace\u201d has resulted in an increased popularity with Muslims.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis show is doing fine, it\u2019s not like he\u2019s hurting for audience, but I think he\u2019s understanding there may be some new listeners over here. You know, like, he\u2019s gotten very, very popular lately, I read, with Muslim viewers, because he\u2019s been standing up for Islam,\u201d she said, according to a transcript.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I have to tell you, Mark, it\u2019s been something I\u2019ve noticed just since I\u2019ve gotten sort of more clear-eyed on Israel, that a lot of the anti-Muslim rhetoric that\u2019s put out there originates with people who are very, very pro-Israel, who kind of need us to demonize them, and I\u2019ve taken a look recently at my own rhetoric on this to say, like, \u2018Have I been manipulated?\u2019 I want to make sure I\u2019m not getting manipulated,\u201d Kelly added.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I think he\u2019s having a lot of Muslim viewers flock to him. I know for a fact he has a lot of young men flocking to him. And so while he may have lost some contingent of the Fox News audience that\u2019s very, very pro-Israel, and, you know, pro-Trump, and you can\u2019t say anything about Trump, for every one of those who leave, there is another newer, younger audience member who does wanna hear these traditional lines challenged, and hear just new independent thinking. I mean, I\u2019m experiencing some of that myself, and Tucker probably times ten,\u201d Kelly told Halperin.<\/p>\n

Already seen as a political chameleon by some, Kelly\u2019s sudden pro-Islam stance would seem to be more than a bit hypocritical, with X users resurfacing a take from earlier to suggest that the SiriusXM host is a flaming hypocrite.<\/p>\n

Her apparent newfound love for Islam invited a fierce reaction from X users, with one suggesting that she\u2019s just an \u201cempty vessel\u201d who changes her viewpoint like most people change their socks.<\/p>\n
