The Trump administration unveiled its new counterterrorism strategy with the focus on protecting the homeland from drug cartels, Islamist extremists, and violent left-wing extremists.<\/p>\n

The 16-page strategy<\/a> was released on Wednesday, directing the federal government\u2019s powerful anti-terrorism apparatus at those who really threaten America and away from the politicized nonsense of the Biden administration when the senile former president falsely branded phantom white supremacy as the \u201cmost dangerous terrorist threat\u201d to the nation.<\/p>\n

The 2026 Counterterrorism Report prioritizes:
\n\u2022 Eliminating cartel networks
\n\u2022 Targeting foreign terrorist organizations
\n\u2022 Cracking down on domestic extremist groups like Antifa<\/p>\n

The new strategy will place a priority on the following three threats: \u201cNarcoterrorists and Transnational Gangs, Legacy Islamist Terrorists and Violent Left-Wing Extremists, including Anarchists and Anti-Fascists,\u201d according to the document.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter four years of weakness, extremism, and deadly failures, my administration has moved with urgency and historic speed to restore American strength at home and abroad, and bring peace and stability to our world. No administration in history has achieved so dramatic a turnaround in so short a time,\u201d President Donald J. Trump said in a statement<\/a> posted to the White House website.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur new counterterrorism strategy first prioritizes the neutralization of hemispheric terror threats by \u200bincapacitating cartel operations until these groups are incapable of bringing their drugs, their members, and their trafficked victims into the United States,\u201d Deputy Assistant to the President Sebastian Gorka said.<\/p>\n

The top White House counterterrorism adviser also revealed that the strategy will target \u201cviolent, secular political \u200bgroups whose ideology is anti-American, radically transgender or anarchist, such as Antifa,\u201d focusing on identifying and neutralizing the enemies within who have been responsible for a wave of politically-motivated terrorism, including murder.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will use all the \u200ctools \u2060constitutionally available to us to map them at home, identify their membership, map their ties to international organizations like Antifa, and use law enforcement tools to cripple them operationally before they can maim or kill the innocent,\u201d he \u200badded.<\/p>\n

The strategy\u2019s rollout comes after a left-wing gunman charged the Washington Hilton ballroom, where Trump and other high-ranking officials were set to enjoy the annual White House Correspondents\u2019 Association Dinner, the third publicly known attempt to assassinate him.<\/p>\n

According to the 16-page strategy: \u201cOur counterterrorism operations will be executed apolitically and founded upon reality-based threat assessments. Our counterterrorism powers will not be used to target our fellow Americans who simply disagree with us. We will not permit the weaponization of America\u2019s unparalleled CT capabilities for partisan purposes and in contravention of every American\u2019s God-given rights.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe fact pattern under the Biden Administration was clear: individuals at the highest level of the U.S. Government used their significant powers to politically target individuals in the interests of those they favored, wanted to keep in power, or to help win elections. Millions of Americans have lost confidence in the rectitude of the most powerful elements of our Federal government; the national security apparatus of the United States,\u201d the document reads.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhite supremacy \u2026 is the single most dangerous terrorist threat in our homeland,\u201d former President Joe Biden told a class of graduating black students at Howard University in May 2023.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe see a threat, we will respond to it, and we will crush it, whether it is the cartels, the jihadists, or violent left-wing extremists like Antifa and like the transgender killers, the non-binary, the left-wing radicals who killed my friend Charlie Kirk, we will take them on, head on,\u201d Gorka told reporters on a Wednesday call.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs part of my commitment to defending America from all enemies, foreign and domestic, we are once again working to crush the threat of terrorism,\u201d Trump said in the foreword of the counterterrorism strategy document.<\/p>\n
