If you are the thrill-seeker type, then it may be time to book your next vacation to St. Maarten (Dutch side) in the Caribbean.<\/p>\n

What better way to enjoy the beach than to have planes almost land on top of you, I guess. <\/p>\n

More fun: When planes take off, the jet blast blows people across the beach.<\/p>\n

I however will pass. I used up 8 of my 9 lives a few decades ago riding in a van in the mountains of Sri Lanka. The driver was 80+-years-old, and he was whipping around corners\u2014 without any guardrails\u2014 and a few times we were close to going over the edge.<\/p>\n

For some time initially, I got a close-up view in the passenger front seat. My daredevil Canadian friends seated in the back found it most entertaining. I didn’t. <\/p>\n
