{"id":594987,"date":"2026-05-02T11:59:52","date_gmt":"2026-05-02T11:59:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/buglecall.org\/?p=594987"},"modified":"2026-05-02T11:59:52","modified_gmt":"2026-05-02T11:59:52","slug":"illegal-aliens-in-nj-charged-for-doing-what-dems-say-never-occurs-voting-in-federal-elections","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buglecall.org\/?p=594987","title":{"rendered":"Illegal aliens in NJ charged for doing what Dems say never occurs \u2013 voting in federal elections"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"630\" src=\"https:\/\/americanwirenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/rf-pexels-voting-1200x630.jpg\" class=\"attachment-facebook size-facebook wp-post-image\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/div>\n<p>Four foreign nationals were charged on Friday for illegally voting and for lying on their citizenship application.<\/p>\n<p>Described as \u201cresident aliens\u201d by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-nj\/pr\/multiple-aliens-charged-illegally-voting-federal-elections-and-making-false-statements\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Department of Justice<\/a> (DOJ), meaning they were in the U.S. legally, the four legal aliens registered to vote in New Jersey by falsely certifying that they were citizens.<\/p>\n<p>The four have been identified as David Neewilly, 73; Jacenth Beadle Exum, 70; Idan Choresh, 43; and Abhinandan Vig, 33.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNeewilly voted in the 2020 and 2024 general elections, Beadle Exum and Vig voted in the 2020 general election, and Choresh voted in the 2022 general election,\u201d according to a DOJ press release.<\/p>\n<p>After voting, each of the four applied for citizenship but lied on their applications by claiming to have never voted in a federal election.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/17.0.2\/72x72\/1f6a8.png\" alt=\"\ud83d\udea8\" class=\"wp-smiley\" \/>MULTIPLE ALIENS CHARGED WITH ILLEGALLY VOTING IN FEDERAL ELECTIONS AND MAKING FALSE STATEMENTS WHILE APPLYING FOR U.S. CITIZENSHIP\u2070\u2070\u201cThis administration will not tolerate aliens who attempt to vote in our elections when they know they are not eligible.\u201d -Acting Attorney\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/7v2h8cR0Jp\">pic.twitter.com\/7v2h8cR0Jp<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 U.S. Department of Justice (@TheJusticeDept) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TheJusticeDept\/status\/2050352555356553519?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 1, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Some of the charges they face include Voting by an Alien in a Federal Election, in violation of 18 U.S.C. \u00a7 611; False Statements in Relation to Naturalization, in violation of 18 U.S.C. \u00a7 1425(a); and Procurement of Citizenship or Naturalization Unlawfully, in violation of 18 U.S.C. \u00a7 1425(a).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis administration will not tolerate aliens who attempt to vote in our elections when they know they are not eligible,\u201d acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said in a statement. \u201cAs alleged, these green card holders lied in order to register to vote and then lied again to immigration authorities by falsely claiming never to have voted in a federal election.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis Justice Department will use every authority to protect the integrity of U.S. elections, including by prosecuting any noncitizens who lie about their legal status in an attempt to vote,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSecuring our elections from criminal actors here at home and around the world is one of the top priorities for this FBI,\u201d FBI Director Kash Patel said in his own statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNoncitizens voting is a federal crime \u2013 period \u2013 and while other administrations may have looked the other way in the past, those days are over. We continue to work around the clock with our interagency partners to ensure those who engage in such conduct will not get away with it,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Today out of <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FBINewark?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@FBINewark<\/a>: Four individuals have been charged with illegally voting in federal elections and making false statements applying for U.S. citizenship.<\/p>\n<p>The individuals \u2013 all noncitizens \u2013 voted in elections including the 2020 Presidential election, 2022 midterms, and\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 FBI Director Kash Patel (@FBIDirectorKash) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FBIDirectorKash\/status\/2050317081577394629?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 1, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Statements were also issued by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Todd Lyons, FBI special agent Stefanie Roffy, and FBI special agent in charge Michael S. McCarthy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHSI is actively investigating and rooting out election fraud wherever it can be found,\u201d Lyons said. \u201cThis case shows that there is still work to do. Under President Trump and Secretary Mullin, HSI is committed to ensuring integrity in our election systems and ensuring that American citizens \u2014 and only American citizens \u2014 are electing American leaders.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe subjects are alleged to have knowingly circumvented one of our most sacred rights as citizens, the right to vote,\u201d Roffy added. \u201cThe FBI and our partners will continue to pursue justice for those in violation of federal law, and keep the integrity of our elections intact.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis case highlights HSI\u2019s dedication to safeguarding the integrity of the nation\u2019s democratic and immigration processes,\u201d McCarthy concluded. \u201cHSI remains committed to collaborating with law enforcement partners to identify and address violations that threaten public trust in federal institutions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>None of this is a surprise to J. Christian Adams, the president of the Public Interest Legal Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe reality is aliens are voting in American elections,\u201d he told the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/03\/16\/us-news\/illegal-immigrants-from-africa-india-and-china-are-voting-in-us-elections-heres-how-theyre-doing-it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York Post<\/a>, adding that the primary problem is aliens, legal and illegal, being invited to register to vote through the mail or at their local office of motor vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt times, it\u2019s an organic process of aliens getting sucked in unwittingly,\u201d he noted. \u201cMaybe they\u2019d been whipping down Modelos [beers] at a festival and they\u2019re doing some guy a favor who is in their face with a clipboard.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOr they\u2019re at the DMV and get these pop-up windows asking them to register. They think, \u2018I must be allowed.\u2019 I wish it were a conspiracy plot because it would be easier to bust.
